Set the alarm for 0200 at the hotel..we were ready a little before 0400 and at Grandma's to pick up Diane before 0430. Got ourselves checked in and had time before the plane took off.
Had a quick flight to Las Vegas and then 4 hours 35 min to DC. We got here, got our baggage and the rental car and headed out a quick (WHAT?!) 13 miles or so...traffic is horrible, stop and go it seemed like forever to get here.
We have a really nice room with a rollaway in Manassas, VA at the Days Inn. There appears to be a nice breakfast in the am we will definitely dine on that! We unloaded the car and headed out to find Total Wine and more so Diane could get some beers for Jesse from the West Coast. That she did. Then we drove to old town to find this pub and tavern, but it looked more like a tavern than eating establishment. We ended up at The Jukebox, and the food was very good. Back to the hotel and getting ready to hit the hay.
We have about 320 miles to go tomorrow so I'm sure we'll get an early start. But after getting up at 0200 I'm thinking we need a good nights sleep!
On to the area near West Point Military Academy tomorrow.
