Love this picture of Aaron. back at his first football game due to a hamstring injury! |
We had a wonderful weekend in Silver Springs! We saw old friends and met some new ones! A great ride for all of us on Saturday. π Every time we get the chance to ride, I'm so glad we bought the Can Am.

An old corral |

Our destination "The Caves" about 30 miles out from camp |
|
We took the trail there up to the caves. John said to walk on the outside near the cave as a rattlesnake just crawled under a rock. Well, guess who turned around and almost ran down the hill. I was kind of nervous about going in the first place, and that did it! |

Cave pictures courtesy of Ken, who did go in! |

Beer break! |

Another camp on the way back.. |

|
Happy Birthday Keith! π |
|
Time to enjoy the fire and the company! |
|
Keith and family supplied an amazing taco dinner for everyone. |
We headed for home about noon on Sunday. We did enjoy our Champagne Sunday for a bit after getting home. Then we did a little work in cleaning Nellie and emptying the fridge.
|
Keith's place. He's got a flush toilet and sink in the little house. His container has a bedroom area and plenty of room to store anything. |
Later in the afternoon Karen invited us over for Happy Hour. We decided to barbecue some hot dogs and hot links, so we came home and got the stuff while Karen started the barbecue. Simple, with potato salad that I had made, but we didn't eat over the weekend.
Monday we spent at home finishing the cleaning of Nellie and other things. Later, we had a nice fire outside.
Yesterday we decided to head for Dayton to visit a few thrift stores to see if we could find the rest of our costumes for the Halloween party. We want to be Bonnie and Clyde. ππ We were able to find what we needed, quicker than we thought we would.
Walmart, Lowe's and then Betsy's for linner. Headed home and that was that for the rest of the day.
We don't have to help John move this weekend so we've decided to take our Anniversary vacation instead. ππ Where are we going? Not sure yet haha. We know we're leaving tomorrow and have until the 25th or 26th to be home. Keep ya posted! We're not happy about the gas prices, but again one day we won't be able to do this.
Happy Hour! Let's figure out where we're going! π·πΊππ
Looks like a great time was had by all! What an awesome day to get out on the trails.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great weekend!
DeleteThat looks like a blast!!! There's nothing I enjoy more than going down a long dirt/gravel road to someplace I've never been. Except for the snakes ... I have to agree with you there!!
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun! We had a truck with us and they enjoyed it too! Yep that snake did it for me! Just glad he said something!
DeleteOh yes we did! The weather was perfect as was the company! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your anniversary vacation wherever you go. Your attitude is the same as ours........fuel prices be damned! We only have one life and we're going!!
ReplyDeleteLove your attitude Patsy! Actually we're finding gas prices are much lower than home..gas has been about $4.40 a gallon where we are paying over $5.50 at home..we'll take it! LOL
