Happy Birthday to our daughter in law Lori! Lori is Russell's wife and mother to Jacob and Aaron. Hoping you have a wonderful day! 💖
Aaron will be playing in his high school football game this week as hamstring injury is looking good after a long recovery!
Again, I have no idea where these days and months go. We were home until Thursday when we had to be in Carson City at 0715 to get the Tundra its 40,000 mile service.
We dropped her off and then headed for Betsy's for breakfast, that was yummy! Then we headed to Reno where Ken dropped me at Winco and then he headed to Total Wine to pick up our order. We picked up the Tundra around 1030 and then headed home.
We are leaving today to head for Silver Springs (about 40 mins away). We've got Nellie (the motorhome) ready and the Can Am on the back. It should be a great weekend of riding with friends. 😃 Our mornings are cold but the afternoons are running in the 80's so it's perfect for riding! We plan on being back home on Sunday.
This week is Yerington High School's Homecoming week. They've got activities planned every day. Thursday was bonfire night.
The different grade levels collected wood pallets, from who knows where.
Sophomores brought in 27 Seniors 217
Freshman 175 JUNIORS 1026 !!!
Boy did they have a fire!!
What a pile! |
Who needs Burning Man?! |
They had a dinner that about 400 people attended. One of the local ranches donates the meat and the Rotary Club cooks the dinner! 💙Gotta love small town living!
A few pics of the local onion fields here. Picked and ready to be picked up and dried. The migrant farm workers work hard here! Soon they'll head toward Yuma and the Imperial Valley.
Time to get a move on! Enjoy your weekend!
We're ready to head out! 😀😀 |
Last but not least, Ken's mom sent this picture of Diane and her son Jesse on Diane's 68th birthday. 😍
Happy Birthday Diane! |
Happy birthday Lori. When Yuma had only 1 high school there was always a bonfire rally during homecoming week. By the time I was in high school there were no more bonfire rally's. Have a fun weekend.
