It's Wednesday and it's warm!

Sunday we visited Walmart in town and then headed out toward the west and a couple of other long term visitor areas..well, typical CA they've got road construction going on and no signs.  We got to the rest area in CA and it was lunch time, I'd brought tuna on rye and bar b q potato chips (what else goes with tuna?)...haha...we had those and continued on and on and on...we had a little map from the LTVA area but sure didn't match what was going on on the freeway..eventually I let the girl on the phone guide us to where we wanted to go..otherwise we'd have ended up in San Diego.
Imperial Sand Dunes...

Pilot Knob LTVA

Date trees

Well, we found it, the Hot Springs LTVA.  Not impressed.  The hot springs must be the draw, but that doesn't look enticing to us..but if you want to see a bunch of 65+ year old men, in shorts and no shirts it the place to go..nope!  Very crowded too and you don't have the views we have here.

So we headed towards home and stopped at the Pilot Knob LTVA closer to Yuma..but again, we'll stay where we are.  So we're here till Monday.

Monday, we stayed here all day just to make the time go by slower.  Life is just cruising by way too fast.  We did take a 1.3 mile walk just to be nosey (oh yeah for exercise too)..had a nice fire in the evening.
If we ain't styling...we ain't riding!
Now how cool is that bike?!

Tuesday, we headed for town to do some laundry (gotta be done).  WE headed over to fry to do some grocery shopping and I noticed there was a Cost Cutters right next door..so Ken went to Frys and I got my hair cut.  Too bad that a hair stylist who listens to what you want is in Yuma, so i'll make sure to see her next year on the way south.  Anyway, felt good about that, Ken got the clothes out and came back and got me.

On the way home we stopped at this little place we tried to get a date shake at last year.  All the rave here is the Date Shake.  So we got one yesterday..can't remember the last time I had any shake, but I have to say this one was delicious.  So maybe again next year.

We stopped an took a few pics at the Yuma Proving Grounds entrance. Lots of tanks.

We were home in time for lunch and then afterwards tried to read my kindle outside, but the sun was way too intense for me.  Ken turned the fan on for me and I had a little nap in the trailer.  Ken had a little doze in the loveseat outside.

A nice fire and dinner and then called it a night.

Yesterday, the 31st was Grandson's Mason's 12th Birthday!  How time flies! I called and talked to him in the am before school..Love you Mason!
