We drove around trying to find the event. We knew it was held at the college but there were no signs anywhere...found that pretty disappointing. WE found it. It was a small event but still very nice. During the morning they held a pancake breakfast for Vets and active duty military and later they had free pizza courtesy of Little Caesars. Thought that was pretty cool.
We walked around and talked with a few people. Probably only there about 30 min or so, as we'd seen it all. Apparently they host this event a few times a year.
Talked with the Border Patrol for a bit. Reminded me of my working days, there were about 5 guys standing around and one young lady. She did all the talking and handing out of goodies, while the guys stood in the background..funny. The Border Patrol doesn't require a college education and you can be 18..of course sure there aren't many 18 year olds, like she said they have to have the maturity to pass the interview process. I'm sure with a college education, you can probably promote easier. With Trump as President I'm thinking he'll be doing more hiring.

After we left there we headed to Frys for just a little grocery shopping. Love that store! They had chicken thighs for 87 cents a pound, Ken's favorite so we got a couple packages. Some other things and out the door. It was about 1330 by that time so we headed home, enjoyed the sunshine, even took a little bike ride.
In the evening we sat out by our "Little Red Campfire" and watched the stars come out. Life is good. Feeling better, by the way..
Enjoy Quartzsite and area, much nicer now that things have slowed down.
