Sept 6th...Cornersville and Nashville!..We left Don's house about 0800 and headed to Franklin, TN and then took a back road to highway 100 and The Loveless Cafe. We got there about 10 and Melody and her hubby Harrold got there about 1030. After a couple of hugs we went inside for a early lunch. We spent a couple of hours talking and then it was time to go. They were heading home to Paducah, KY and we headed to Nashville for the night. Pictures to be posted later!
I had made reservations at the Millineum Maxwell hotel. We haven't stayed there b4 but the reviews sounded good and they have a shuttle to downtown. It was a really nice hotel I have to say..people are very friendly there. We got there a little early to check in so we went downtown, had a drink at the hard rock and went to the room. Had a glass (or two) of wine and Ken a beer (or two) and then we caught the shuttle downtown. Well, you know how that goes, we had a great evening..so great I don't remember getting on the shuttle to go back to the hotel..surprise surprise...Drinks are expensive, but we enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Ken says we were back by 2100..seemed like midnight to me :)
Woke up starving this am as we never did eat dinner last night..so we headed back to the Loveless and had a good, late, breakfast. Took a short drive down the Natchez Trace Parkway and headed over to Columbia and then to the Ford dealer in Lewisburg to pick up the Ford truck. Ken had all the fluids changed on it so after paying $330.00 we got it back, and they guy told him he's got a good truck there...so Ken's a happy camper.
I came home and spent the afternoon on the couch. Now Ken is outside mowing, because it looks like rain tomorrow..poor guy!
Now I guess we'll decide what's next!
We ordered a stair stepper so it should be arriving in the next few days. Compact enough to take with us..guess i'll have no excuse for not exercising..darn!
Missing my grandsons!!
