I got my book, sat out in the sun for awhile and just enjoyed. George came over with some spray and he and Ken tried to get the thermostat for the heater/ac to work but it's dead! At least here we really don't need it. Would be nice in the morning to take the chill off but it warms up quickly. Thank goodness we're not in Nevada, seems they're getting snow this am! We chatted for a while with George and then decided to fill our water bottles we brought from home and then to get some ice in town.
When we returned we had a quick lunch and then I started on a few treats for the gang at happy hour. George was interested in my broccoli tots he's seen on the blog a few times. Since they were planning on leaving in the am (Monday) I made them for everyone to try with a dipping sauce. Ken told me a bit later that George has to get a heat shield welded on his motorhome so they're not leaving until Friday morning, same as us. We're glad they're staying, but we certainly wouldn't have wished for that to happen.
Spaghetti squash pizza, half salami and mushrooms, half with salami and ham.. |
Suzie (in the cute hat), George, Tom, Deb, Me, Ken and Kim.. |
I made up a spaghetti squash pizza for everyone to share and it was a big hit except for Kim's hubby Ken. He doesn't like squash so this wouldn't be on his list of things to eat :) Happy Hour was at Tom and Deb's so we walked ourselves over a little before 1500. A good time was had by all once again! George and Suzie were the first to leave to bar b que up some burgers which smelled absolutely amazing wafting over to us! I see a burger in the near future for sure!
Once it got close to dark, was time to meander home as it was chilly! Not much of dinner and then bedtime!
Sunset from our home away from home ;) |
Monday morning we woke up about 0630 and had our coffee and reading blogs. Now what to do with our day? hmmm...Ken's going to take another look at the thermostat and I'm not sure what I'm doing...call that a "good problem".
Have a great day everyone!
What happened to Monday? Haha
ReplyDeleteThe snacks looked positively wonderful. It's nice that George and Suzie are staying longer, not nice for their repair but at least you get a couple of extra days with them. Good luck with the thermostat issue but at least it's not too cold.
Haha Deb thanks for catching it I'll fix on computer..half the time we don't know what day it is! Yeah going to see if we can find a Mr heater like the one we have at home..of course
DeleteThe thermostat problem can be an issue hopefully you can things taken care of at some point , but like you said at least it is not too cold. We will enjoy the extra time with you guys here and then get our repairs done. Loved those snack thanks for going to all that work.
ReplyDeleteNoticed that you don't like Mondays as Deb already pointed out> Something to do!
ReplyDeleteFood looked wonderful. The smell of meat on a grill is always enticing.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
I, too, was confused about the day but it doesn't take much! haha
ReplyDeleteThat pizza looked awesome, I need to get better at making keto dishes for me whether Bill eats them or not.
Nice that you are getting a few extra days with G. & S. The place will be empty when everyone leaves on or before Friday.
It certainly has been nice having you parked near by and I would say that even if you had not treated us to some delicious food. I still cannot believe how good the Spaghetti Squash pizza crust was and the fact that we could pick it up was wonderful. Though I would have to
ReplyDeletesay the broccoli bites were the best and the dipping sauce added
a nice flavor. Thank you for sharing with us.
