A quick weekend and upcoming days! Happy Birthday Baby Mia (as Papa calls her)...

Once again, evil strikes...Pray for Texas and all those that were affected by this horrible act.  My heart breaks once again....

Saturday afternoon we headed back to Dini's and listened to our candidate for Governor (11/18).  He was interesting and not long winded.  We saw some other people we know Jason and his wife Billie so visited with them for a bit afterwards.  We headed back home and just relaxed a bit.

I had made some squash lasagna using ground chicken breast for Ken and just veggies for me.  Turned out awesome I must say!  Ken enjoyed his and no noodles, using the thin sliced squashed as the lasagna noodles. I should have taken a picture, but forgot..darn..

Sunday I woke up about 0100 and was up until after 0200 and the changing of the clocks. Finally back to sleep and we awoke at 0530, new time.  Got our day going this morning and Ken went outside to visit with Joe for a bit.  I made some banana bread and some apple oatmeal muffins for our morning snacks.

Our neighbor John was replacing his well tank so Ken went over there to help him. Much appreciated once he was done.

We had a late lunch of veggies and dip and then Ken went back outside to work on the outhouse a bit.  He got the toilet in and hooked up,it's got shims under it so no pictures today (hahah)..

Monday morning I was awake throughout the night and then finally at 0415 for good, started the coffee about 0500 and then woke up Ken to enjoy the morning with me. 22 degrees this am.  He had turned the heater up in the middle of the night because he got cold.  This week's morning lows are really low so I think it's time for flannel sheets everywhere.

at his last football game of the year

Thursday we are taking the cabover to Washoe Lake State Park for the night.  Our friend and neighbor Joe graduates from the Nevada Department of Corrections Academy in Carson City so we're going to his graduation.  We'll spend the night at Washoe and then i'll head over to California for the weekend and some grandson time!  Seth turns 16 on Friday so there's a lunch for him at Garcia's in Carmichael. Jacob has practice so he'll miss it, but Aaron and I will go and then Seth and Mason are coming back to Russell's for the night.  Little Owen turns 3 on Friday also, his party is Saturday.  Aaron has tournaments on Saturday but I'm hoping he'll be done in time that we can go to the party.  Find out on Thursday.
Brother in law Greg, Seth and Diane at Seth's last
game in Rio Vista, CA.

I'll be back on Sunday and then Monday we'll head for Winnemucca for blood work on Tuesday.  Before we know it time for Thanksgiving!

Happy 13th Birthday Miss (Baby) Mia! Hard to believe how time flies. I remember being there with Daughter in law Cheryl and of course Mia's mom, Mandie the night she was born. She has grown into a beautiful, sweet young lady!

Happy Birthday Mia!

Our son Russell on the right, Steve on the left, not sure who's in middle.

Russell in the middle..planning fun things for beer drinkers
in the future..

Little Owen who turns 3 on Friday got an early present from his mom and dad.  Gotta feeling they may regretting that gift soon...hahaha..

Have a wonderful day with whatever you choose to do! Better get to work now! Hopefully more outhouse pics next post!
