Ken started the ugly hallway project...and hanging a few pics...

Today we got our day started by heading for Yerington...grocery shopping for me...what else?  A quick trip to True Value for a few things and then home.

Ken was set on getting the pin cushion map that Eric made for us up today...and so glad he did..We also had an American flag puzzle picture that Cheryl made us a few years ago for Christmas that we put up along with it.  Love it!

Ken decided to start the ugly hallway project this afternoon..we had this boring white cabinet (held alot of stuff) that was there when we bought the house.  So he took that apart and lo and behold we found an even uglier wall behind the cabinet.  We knew that the area of the cabinet was where the original washer and dryer were...so they just put some thin plywood over the hole of the faucets and a box over the original 220 plug on the floor..We unplugged the 220 plug and found that it is connected to our dryer in the add on part of the house...so guess it'll stay but Ken will make a box to cover..uhhh..hard to believe all that passed inspection as the add on was permitted...u just never know. 

Some before pics are posted below...(well maybe not...thinking my battery is going on the macbook so it's acting wacko)...so glad we had vision when bought this little place...we love everything about this place and all the upgrades we've done..so now the ugly hallway...and then the "really" ugly bathroom! We're getting there...but "hey, I wanna go camping"...so we will in a few weeks..but since we're waiting on Ken's dentist appointment, might as well get started!  

Update....headed to Reno to get a new battery...don't want to go but must! I'll keep the staff here though to get to work on the hallway!
