Reno and running around...

Oct 21st...Got up and got going..decided to go to Reno and pick up our living room chair..some grocery shopping and a few other things.  Started the day at Walmart in Gardnerville and then on to Carson City to Lowe's to get a clay pot so we can use it in the camper as heating. This was something our friends told us about way back.  A clay flower pot inverted over the propane stove and it sends out a nice even heat.  In our little cabover it doesn't really take much to warm it.  Headed towards Reno and it was a little after 1300 when we got there, so Great Basin it is!  Tuesdays are called "Tightwad Tuesday" meaning most of the beers are $2.50 a pint...so we enjoyed our lunch..I had the bean burger on their homemade bread..yummm and Ken had a chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado that he loved!

Icky beer and my chardonnay

Outlaw Milk Stout...different for Ken but he liked it!

After lunch we headed over to Cost Plus Whole Market where we picked up our new chair..
Came in alot quicker than we thought!  Stopped at Tractor Supply on the way home and got a
new heater to use in the cab over.  This way when we are at campgrounds with electricity we can use that instead of the propane.  Cute little thing and quiet...that's what we really like about it!

Headed home and it was chilly!  The wind was blowing and it went right through u!  So Ken put the legs on the chair and then started the fire!

The chair color is magnet so it's a gray and we really like it...don't know if it's my "forever" chair as I really want a red leather one like my grandma used to have..but this will do until then and I have to admit....this looks like a perfect place for Santa to sit in a few months!

Today we are working on getting ready to leave...hope to leave in the am and head for Cave Lake State Park, NV.  It's a little over 300 miles from here (which is further than we like to travel) hahah...but hope to make it as it looks really nice!

Ken's heading to dmv to register one of the trailers, stop the mail, see about early voting...whew he's gonna be busy!  I'm going to stock the cabover and tomorrow off we go!!

We'll be back the week before Thanksgiving..planning on having something here, whether it's just Ken and me or whatever family comes (Of course Adam has already said he's coming)...put it out there but haven't heard from anyone yet (except Christina)....so we'll see...

** I forgot to say earlier that Bryan has to work on Thanksgiving...he could put in for it but it's more important for him to have Christmas off to be with the family!....

A CO detector would be a good idea if you use your propane stove for heat.
