Amarillo TX to La Juanta, Colorado...284 miles...

Well, we got up and left Amarillo around 1030 this am...we had dieseled up and were ready to go...the drive was really nice up 287..before we knew it we were through Texas and onto Oklahoma for a short time...we pulled over in this cute little town and had lunch and then on we went!...

We had a really nice drive to La Juanta, Colorado and we are spending the night at the KOA here...really nice and quiet...we probably will head for Bents Fort tomorrow for a bit..it's a reproduction of a fort managed by the national park service...and then who knows where we'll end up..

Ken bar b qued awesome chicken tonight!  A really nice evening but got pretty chilly...so now we're inside with some cable tv...nice!!
