Fernley, NV, a little drive and pizza

Yesterday (Saturday) we left and headed up to Fernley to head for Lowe's and then Walgreens.  We picked up the two folding chairs I ordered and some paint for the little bathroom off our room.  I'm sure it's called a "Master Bath" but that really would be an exaggeration. hahaha..but it's got all we need.  Ken found a 50 foot good hose on sale so we got that too.  One of our quicker trips to Lowe's.

We went to Walgreens for a quick few things and then to Scolari's as i wanted to get some extra cheese for the pizzas we were making.  In the parking lot was Pizza Factory and I had just purchased a $20.00 Groupon for $2.50 yesterday morning.  They had a special that for $12.50 you get $20.00 worth of Pizza Factory, and Groupon had $10.00 off with a code.  The only thing is you can basically order off their menu but lunch buffet with salad bar, not included.  We really didn't want pizza or the buffet so figure we'll save it for later.  We have 6 months to use it so i'm sure we will.

Then over to Pioneer Crossing and had their salad bar and then headed out and took a drive over to Lahontan State Park.  Nice drive and seeing the different beaches and people camped there. The lake is so full, it can really be used for recreation this year.  Nice if people could find shade as it was running about 100 degrees.

Happy campers..you can see the picnic table in the water

A party of campers!

The smoke has cleared a lot in just a few days..

After we got home, just hung out inside and then got to putting the pizza stuff together and getting it made.  Turned out awesome!  We don't do it too often, but when we do we make it good!
Ken's oyster, olives, mushrooms and cheese!

Mine..white sauce, veggie and a little chicken..yum

Watched some tv and called it a night.  Into the guest room for the air-conditioning, it hasn't cooled down to below 70 degrees so too hot for our room.
Was awake at 0245 for a long time, I know it was after 4 or so before I dozed back off.  So it was almost 7 this am when we awoke.  Oh well, it's Sunday and going to be 100 degrees again.

My sister Linda and family all headed out to the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday to take little Owen there.  They spent the night and were back home early today, but sounds like they had a good time..stole some of these pics from Facebook just because I can..haha..

That expression..Owen!

Heard from my sister Wendy this morning.  She and her hubby Shawn are going to be in Fernley, NV next Saturday to take a look at a few towns to see if they might like to settle here after retirement.  I'm hoping that they'll be back later to view a few more.  I really wanted them to come spend the night here and we'd show them all Yerington has to offer (haha).  Ken wanted to take him to the gun range and then to the BLM land.  With his surgery Tuesday afternoon afraid he won't be ready for visitors by then.  Ken suggested I meet up with them in Fernley and see what they're looking at..so if it works out I may just do that.
