Visiting with Eric and family, shopping, left Aaron on Saturday, Bryan and family visits :) Erin's Birthday today!

Last Friday got the day going with a quick trip to Cool, Ca to see Seth and Holly as they were home from Camp Pendleton for the holiday. Eric had made an awesome breakfast of eggs, potatoes and bacon! Of course I had to have some LOL.  Had a nice visit with the grandkids except Mason who was at school. Nice to see Eric and Christina too of course!

Nephew Dusty, Love the flag in the background.

I love this picture of our great niece Cassidy!
Hard to believe she's going to be 4!

Then I headed out to go shopping at Winco and picking up an online order at Total Wine in Roseville, CA.   Eventually got back to Aaron's and put stuff in their refrigerator and freezer to keep food fresh until Saturday morning.

Allissa (Jacob's sweetie) came by later in the late afternoon and caught me outside on the back patio with a glass of wine so she joined me. We had great conversation and then some Winco chicken for dinner. She and Aaron then headed out to see the new Top Gun movie. I was sound asleep whenever they got home.

Saturday morning I made Aaron a couple of egg mc muffins and he was actually awake before I left about 0900. Grandma (Ken's mom) was having some tough decisions to make about one of her dogs so I wanted to be around if she needed me before I left.

A nice drive home up highway 50 and got here only about 40 minutes ahead of Bryan and Cheryl. We had a great evening and I think it was after midnight before we all headed to bed. I think it was later for Bryan and Ken. :)

Aaron wanted cheeseburgers and onion rings one night πŸ˜‹

Bryan and Cheryl heading out for a ride, it was a cool one!

I like the way the kitchen looks with the clouds

Karen surprised us with this sign πŸ’™

Sunday Karen was having a barbecue for John's 53rd Birthday. I made some spinach dip and Cheryl made her awesome potato salad. Another good, late night. Adam and Erin got here about 2215. πŸ˜ƒ

Monday I fried up some bacon and a mess of scrambled eggs and we headed next door about 1000. Karen made her yummy biscuits and gravy and along with mimosas it was a great start to a great day. LOL.

A couple of Can Am rides took place during the day. Visiting and just enjoying. Ken barbecued some burgers and hot links for dinner. Nothing fancy but good.

Tuesday it was time for everyone to head for home. Bryan and Cheryl and the pups left first. Adam and Erin went for a long CanAM ride and then they headed for home too. Loved having them all!

Erin and Adam. Happy Birthday Erin! πŸ’•

Did some clean up after they left and then took it pretty easy.

Today (Wed) we headed for Ace in Fallon to return a reducer for the fireplace that didn't work. Of course while we're there we spent some more $$ thinking ahead to get the fireplace set up after the floor is in. Then to Fernley to Lowe's to get some 2x4's, insulation, concrete saw blades and concrete. $$.

Got home in time to make some lunch. After that Ken started on the pouring of a little concrete inside the outdoor kitchen. It'll make laying the pavers easier.

Happy Hour time, so i'll finish this later 😊🍷🍺

Well, obviously didn't get this finished, but before Happy Hour today this is getting done!

I did some baking this morning of Ken's goodies. Tried a new recipe of low carb cookie bars and they look pretty yummy! We'll see in the morning with coffee.

Ken's been working in the kitchen pouring the concrete he needs. Looks good.  Right now he's insulating the area where the refrigerator will go. The evening sun will shine right there so this will help keep the fridge cooler. Later he'll do part of the wall behind the fireplace :)

He's pouring a strip of concrete along the 3 outside walls in order to make
placement of the pavers easier without so much cutting..Those pavers are
just for standing on right now.

He had to put in a couple of more studs upper and lower

It's funny, unless you build it yourself you don't realize how much work goes
into it :) There will be two more pieces of insulation lower and then on the back
wall as wide as the fridge. It will be covered with the 1x4...

Now I can get this posted! Have a great evening!

  2. That's a lot of visiting! Good idea to protect the fridge from the heat, you don't want your beer getting warm!
