Easter weekend memories..Ping Pong..going to be a gorgeous Saturday!

Good Saturday morning from Yerington, Nevada!  It's 32 degrees heading for a wonderful 72 this afternoon! Perfect as we plan on spending the afternoon outside!
Loved seeing this yesterday on our drive to Gardnerville! Sure took us back to our
Easters spent at either Sand Mountain or Winnemucca Dunes with our kids and their
friends! Sure do miss those days!

There were several groups of people all over Wilson Canyon

People gathering at the little rest area...made me
so jealous!!

Too much fun!!

I'd love to have a side by side..but probably
not..haven't even used our kayaks yet!

Late Thursday afternoon Karen, Lynzee, Danielle, Niko and Noah came over to play some ping pong and Ken got a fire going outside.  Everyone had fun playing ping pong and with some new people to play against it was fun!

We also enjoyed the fire outside, until it started RAINING!  We had to call it a night.  What a shame with such a great fire. Oh well, fun while it lasted!

Because it's Easter weekend and we will be celebrating with Karen and family on Saturday we needed to do some grocery shopping.  Ken and I got out of here early on Friday morning and made the drive to Gardnerville to spend some $$ at Walmart.  A quick run to Raleys too and we were home just after the boys got out of bed!

Breakfast was made and enjoyed by them.  They love the waffles and bacon so that's what they got.  Aaron had 2 waffles and they're pretty big. I never buy juice (except Ken's V8) but there's been a lot of orange and apple juice drank this week. πŸ’œ

Once that was done and groceries put away it was nearing 1300. Time for mine and Ken's lunch haha.

The boys decided to head out for a quad ride about 1330.  Beautiful afternoon so they enjoyed.  I took this time to change the sheets in Mason's too.  I didn't realize he was sleeping on a pink sheet (and it's one I hate anyway) he appreciated the change LOL.  Straightened Aaron's bedding out too.  Boys don't seem to care where they sleep, but making the bed is the 1st thing I do in the am.

Once they got back, Mason and I headed next door to check out what Ken was doing. Karen wants a garden this year, so Ken was putting up a chicken wire fence around the area.  Looks good and will hopefully keep rabbit s out as the garden grows.

The girls and the younger ones were at the outside table coloring Easter eggs. Mason sat down with them for awhile. There will be an egg hunt Saturday afternoon.

Miss Amelia.. :)

Headed back home for a bit and then spent happy hour over there.  Aaron wasn't much for socializing but that's ok.  He was fine at home.

We enjoyed our visit and then headed back home. Lynzee wanted to take a quick drive to the BLM so Mason got on the quad and followed them, they were back in 15 minutes or so.

Again, not real pretty but oh so tasty! The boys
want me to make more of these "Cheater fried ice cream"
No frying needed! Made with crushed vanilla wafers..YUM!
I'm thinking I just felt a small earthquake a few minutes ago..I'm sitting on the bed filling easter eggs with candy and the bed started shaking back and forth a
bit.  We shall see...

Have a  great day everyone! Time to make some breakfast for Ken and me. Looking forward to a gorgeous day! πŸ’œπŸ˜Ž

  1. Probably was an earthquake or those kids jumping around:)) Sounds like those kids have it made with you waiting on them hand and foot. How do I get in on this deal? That canyon sure has some nice camping areas. We don't have anything like that in Illinois:((
