Boys are still here :) Walmart and Lowes..Spraying and a quad ride!

Saturday afternoon we headed over to Karen's and visited with her family.  It was later than planned but that was ok.  She had a fence painting project going on so that was great to watch.

She bought lots of paint and gave the side fence to her family to paint however they wanted.  They certainly have talent in that family.  We were invited to paint a section too.  UH NO...there's no talent here! LOL.
Karen's mom Izzie did this scene of Hawaii Sunset..

Youngest grandkids..Nico and Cameron

The heart is Karen's...You are my sunshine..daughter Isabel :)

Cactus..granddaughter Natalie..

Alien..granddaughter Danielle..

Self love...daughter Lynzee

Karen's sister Heidi's contribution..

Amber's ....

Dinner was buffet style, eating whenever we wanted.  Aaron didn't come over so about 1800 I ran him a plate home. WE had great dinner of brisket and all kinds of sides.

Easter Sunday we slept in until 0630.  Not much going on so it was a pretty usual day.  Ken, Mason and I ran next door around 1500 to watch the kids hunt for Easter eggs.  Visited a bit and then back home, Ken was bar b quing some pork for dinner.  I bought 2 hams the last couple of weeks, but decided to wait until there's more company to cook them.
Time to look for eggs!

View from the back yard...

Dinner was delicious with pork, mashed potatoes and a mish mash of green beans, kidney beans and great northern beans.  MY dad used to make that concoction up and that's what Mason wanted.  Oh so good!!

Ice Cream, of course for dessert for the boys. :)

I was planning on meeting Lori on Monday to return the boys, but they both texted their moms and they're staying until Friday!

Monday morning I chatted with Christina for a bit and then got the day started.  It was a beautiful clear day but the wind never quit, so temps never got too warm. I ran to Raleys for more ice cream and a few other things.

It was one of those days, I just couldn't think what to make for dinner.  There was some leftover pork and things.  Turns out the boys wanted grilled ham and cheese (no cheese for Mason) sandwiches.  They are so easy, those boys.

Ken and the boys headed out about 1400 for a 2 hour + quad ride. They've been waiting for the wind to die down, but who knows when that'll happen.  They had a good time, finding new places to go.

Tuesday morning woke  to a chilly am.  22 degrees with a feels like 18 because of the wind.  BRRRRR.. it's nice and toasty in the house, Ken kept the fire in the wood stove going over night.  Still say it's the best thing we did to this house, putting that in.
Ken and I headed to Fernley, NV (50 miles one way).  A trip to Lowe's is needed and Walmart too.   We've seen commercials for Papa Murphy's Pizza, there's one in Fernley so we decided to pick up a couple for dinner. Haven't had that in probably 2 years.

After we got home, fixed brunch for the boys and put away groceries. In that order as they were starving :)  They were both working on homework when we got back.

Later in the afternoon the boys took a quad ride.  Ken and I ran 10 gallons of weed killer through the sprayer.  A lot easier this year as his shoulder isn't in a sling :)  Weeds are not bad now, so a good time to spray! Beautiful afternoon for sure.

Pizza was delicious. Not something I'll do again, as I didn't sleep well. By 0300 I was awake.  Finally drifted off nearing 0430 and up at 0600.  We're slow going this am...haha.  Ordered Eric's birthday present and we ordered ourselves a small retro looking fridge for an area in the kitchen. We'll pick it up hopefully next week.

Time to get a move on!  Have a wonderful day!

    1. Wish i could afford a real retro one, but this one will do as an extra fridge. It's small (so is my kitchen) from Home Depot. Yep love the fence.
