So for hours we just caught up on things. I've known her since I was 9 years old and because of her is how I met Ken. :) I had pork roast in the crock pot so that and some veggies and mashed potatoes is how we finished out the day. About 2200 we all headed off to bed. Our neighbor, Joe had stopped by and invited us to breakfast on Saturday.
We met Joe and family along with mom in law Susan at Dini's for a wonderful breakfast. Diane was impressed with the amount of food you got. She brought home some of her biscuits and gravy for later. Yum..She visited some more and then hit the road back to California about 1130. A short visit but glad she came.
Took this pic w my phone..cut Ken's head off :( but Diane looks good! |
We headed next door about 1300 and met some really nice people that are good friends of John and Karen our neighbors. About 1500 they had a local musician Justin Lee come in to play some great country music. I'm thinking he is going to be one of those "I knew him when" musicians. He's Yerington local, but last week he was in Nashville to see about signing with a company back there. He played at some of the clubs while he was there. So we'll see! He's very personable and plays excellent! Even writes his own music.

They bar b q ued some excellent tri trip and chicken. So much food all day and night! What a great party! Roaring campfire too!
I had Ken bring me home (after enough wine) and he went back. He got home somewhere between midnight and 1. Good time was had by all! We woke up close to 0800 and knew there wasn't much that was going to happen on Sunday. haha..I made breakfast and made a quick trip to Scolari's and that was that. Laid on the couch and read some of a book, watched Hallmark movies and took a little nap. Ken went in the spare room and took about a 2 hour nap..so a nice easy going day.
He did bar b q some awesome hamburgers for dinner and it was a beautiful night outside. Off to bed and now Monday morning we're feeling back to normal! Some more work on the outhouse is going to happen today!
