Had a nice Sunday here in Barstow!

Ken in the camper enjoying his clam dip and Modelo!
Sunday the 20th...Got up here at the KOA in Barstow, got our showers and headed for Food For Less to pick up a few snacks to get ready for Play off Sunday!

We had a really nice relaxing afternoon watching the games and just hanging out in the camper.  I made Ken's favorite clam dip, some veggies, nonfat refried beans for a dip and some homemade guacamole.  It was a beautiful day here and if it weren't for the games would have spent the afternoon outside reading.

As it was we really enjoyed the day!

This morning (eventually) we're planning on heading out to Needles, CA..

Our set up at Tri County Fairgrounds, Bishop, CA

Beautiful view at Tri County

Our Favorite mountain...Mt Whitney!
We left the Bishop Tri County Fairgrounds today and headed for Barstow CA the KOA...nice drive along 395..love that highway!  We saw a sign called Fossil Falls..looked it up on the internet and we found that's probably where we'll take the gkids this summer.  We could stay at Robinson Creek, June Lake, then Lone Pine or Fossil Falls...Fossil Falls is a lava falls, sounds really cool. So we'll see.  We had lunch, out of Red Mountain in the camper and then headed on. It was a great ride and we really like the short days.

The KOA here in Barstow is really nice..temps were in the 60's ...great!  Short sleeve weather! Nice to have for a change, since Winnemucca is 22 degrees with the high! We'll be here for 2 nights as tomorrow is playoffs, then we'll head for Needles, CA and then we decided to see what Quartsite is all about!! We might not like it, but what the heck...loving life!!!

Beautiful mountains along 395

Cool looking Ice

Loved this along 395...
January 17th..We left Bryan and Cheryl's...stopped by Eric's and picked up the bikes and now we're on the road again! The way we like it...love spending time with the kids, but don't want to overstay our welcome.. Got the lean too built at Bryan's so glad to get that done..looks really nice.

We were going to go south on 99 but got a late start and headed to Reno, back to the Grand Sierra Resort..had a nice night and only 21.00 for the night.  Really cold, ice fog but beautiful.  We went to Walmart and did some shopping and had a really nice night.

Took our showers, had breakfast and then decided to go by Reno Diagnostic, where Ken had a test done before we went to Tennessee.  Had to pay the bill, but the bill was much more than what insurance had adjusted it to.  Got it figured out and a $306 bill went to $104..yayyy....

Left Reno and decided to head down 395 to Bishop for the night.  Found that Bishop has a new campground at the fairgrounds for $25.00 a night, full hookups..so that's where we are.  The ride was incredible with all the snow!  Love Bishop anyway, as this is where we come for MuleDays..would stay longer but we need to get to somewhere we can watch the playoffs on Sunday..so we're looking at the Barstow KOA for a couple.  They have cable and Needles KOA doesn't...

January 12th and we are at Bryan's house...

We spent two nights at the Winnemucca RV park..it snowed and was awful cold!
We did go visit the girls at Las Margaritas Mexican and had a wonderful lunch.  Enjoyed the cable tv for two nights and then decided it was time to move on to Reno and the rv park at Grand Sierra.  That was really nice (no cable) and was only 21.00 a night..great showers and laundry.  We had  a late breakfast yesterday at the Grand Sierra, but expensive for what it was...was gonna go to the rv show but the two times we went  the snow was crazy so we went back and because it was "special" we had a drink at the camper and just enjoyed watching it snow.

Got up on the 12th and it was freezing...6 degrees and the camper was cold.  Took our showers and got ready, then went to the rv show and didn't find a thing we liked..it all seems to come back to the Apex 215..so we'll see.  Had a great lunch  in Verdi and then headed to Bryan and Cheryls for a night or two or three...Cheryl made stuffed peppers which were incredible!  Had a nice night and now nighty night in the camper!  Tomorrow is Cheryl's Birthday, so we'll be here and her dad and Renette are coming over...shud be a wonderful day!!

January 8th...aaaaahhhhhhh

Well, it's January 8th...unbelieveable!!

New YEars Eve...we spent at Eric's house. Quiet but that's ok...we got to Winnemucca on, gee I'm not even sure when we got here...losing my mind I guess...I do know I spent a night at Bryan's and met Ken at the truck stop..in Gold Run...oh yes, now I remember, we took Russell's kids and Adam and went to the coast  for Wed, Thurs and Friday...We went to Doran and had a good time.  Ken stayed in the tent and the kids and I stayed in the fifth wheel. Then  Ken went to the truck stop and I took Adam home and spent the night...ok...now my mind is getting refreshed!..

We left the truck stop and headed for Winnemucca.  Never have we seen so much snow!! It's beautiful, but so cold!!  Water lines are frozen, so no showers, it's something else, but it is soooooo beautiful!  We did go to the gas station and took showers so it was nice.  We stayed two nights and then today got the cab over ready and we are at the Winnemucca RV park for two nights.  Loving it.  We went to the dr yesterday, she tried to drain my knee, and got blood but at least i know I'll live!  She changed my medication, and now added one to Ken..gotta be back in a month.

We were gonna head for AZ, but have decided to go to Oregon for a few weeks after we get back and build a lean too for Bryan.

I'm sure people don't understand, but life is good and we are happy!!!!

This is ridiculous that it's December 22nd!

I cannot believe I haven't posted since the 10th...now it's so far back I don't remember what we did!  So I will just have to condense memories.  I know we spent a night at Don and Dana's and then Ken spent a second night but I don't remember why I didn't...Lots of Christmas shopping!  I spent a night with Linda along with Adam and i'm sure there was a reason but I don't remember why!  But we had a good time, went and looked at Christmas lights.  Oh now I remember why, because we got up early the next day and headed for the wreath laying in Dixon along with Wendy, Tash and Russell's family met us there.  After that we went to Woody's in Roseville and had a nice lunch.  I am always amazed at how many people come out and how quickly the wreaths are layed!  Love it!

Saw Grandma on her 85th birthday on the 18th.  We have stayed several nights with Bryan and Cheryl, as Bryan's days off fall during the week so it's really nice!  Then we stay with Eric on the other nights.  Love seeing all the grandkids.

As a matter of fact I am at Bryan's now, with Jacob and Aaron.  Russell and Lori had some last minute shopping to do so I have them and Cheryl and kids will be home soon! Christmas will be here before you know it and we'll be at Linda's for that day!
