A quick catch up :)

 Time just keeps flying by way too fast! So here we are on Thirsty Thursday once again. If we were at Russell and Lori's I'm thinking we'd be joining them out somewhere for a few adult beverages! Not this week though. 😒

We had our usual Champagne Sunday and enjoyed that in the outdoor kitchen once again. This cauliflower pizza is sure addicting for Sundays. 

Excuse the pan, my new one was in Mansion. I had the doc's
half. Chicken, onion, mushroom and cheese. Ken's the 
combo mainly. Oh so yummy. 

It was a beautiful Sunday to be outdoors! 

Monday I got another package out to Jacob. Last one took about 2 1/2 weeks to get to him on that big ship. I was beginning to think I'd have to go to a big city Post Office to get the job done, but finally the guy at the second post office in town got it right!

Tuesday we headed for South Lake Tahoe with the car hauler to pick up some firewood from a Facebook Marketplace ad. A tree service was offering it for Free and boy did they load us up. Won't be going back as the rounds are huge and it'll be another year or more before they'll be usable. Mostly pine so we won't burn it in the house but for outdoor fires. A lot of work for Ken getting those rounds off the trailer. 

Wednesday, I spent the day working on Adam's taxes. I made sure I can get into our tax program to send to the CPA in Winnemucca too. I need to just get it done and over with. 

Today we're dealing with lots of wind here. Ken's been outside most of the day working on the firewood. Power has gone out once already and the internet is still out! Thank goodness for mobile hotspot! 

Ken makes his last truck payment tomorrow! Woohoo!

Allissa and Jacob are in London, Happy 50th Bryan, Happy 22nd tomorrow Allissa, griddle cooking, working on firewood

Our sweet Allissa and Jacob are in London and it looks like they're having a wonderful time together. She sent these pictures today 💖 I have to say since Jacob's been overseas, he's certainly seen a lot of beautiful countries. Glad that he's been able to do all the traveling he has. 

Allissa turns 22 tomorrow. What better place to be? Happy Birthday sweetie! We love you! 💖🎂

 Last Wednesday our oldest son Bryan turned 50!! Just so hard to believe! April is a busy month for birthdays in this family! 

 We've actually been pretty close to home lately. Ken's been working on the firewood he brought home and he's doing a great job! Looking good for next winter!

it home. Ken's back is feeling it! I tell him not to
over do, but he doesn't listen of course. 

We've enjoyed using the griddle that Eric and Christina got us. Temps have been perfect for using it in the mornings.

Warm days, Happy Birthdays, Adam and Erin visit :) Ken brings home firewood!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Yerington, NV. Thinking we're done with the cold temps I'm hoping. Of course you know what the warm weather does here, brings out the lizards! Yep saw my first one the other day and have seen a few more. The plug ins that are supposed to keep away pests obviously don't effect lizards. On to other measures to keep them out of my outdoor kitchen!

Last Wednesday our middle son Eric turned 48! Our oldest grandson, Adam turned 24 on the 21st. This Wednesday, our oldest son Bryan turns 50!! It doesn't seem possible!

We ran to town the other day and stopped by Karen's store, Not Just Candles, a unique gift store! Well, never can walk out of there without spending some $$. Gotta keep the locals in business! 😊

Ken ran over to Rio Linda this weekend and met up with our friend, KC. They ran out to another friends place and picked up firewood! Already cut to length! KC sent home some walnut with Ken too! We'll be looking good for next year! Thank you KC and Craig! He was treated to an awesome barbecue dinner too and breakfast sandwiches (Thank you Sierra!) 😋

Saturday we were surprised by a text from Adam and Erin. They were in Bishop, CA and wanted to come spend the night with us! Of course! I ran to Raley's and picked up a few things and then a stop by the liquor store where they sell the best broasted chicken and seasoned steak fries. Not good for you, but oh so tasty! 

The kids got here about 1800, ate and then we all went over to John and Karen's for a great visit. 

Lila and Mugsy were happy to see them! 😃

Sunday morning we all took our time and the kids left about 1130. A nice surprise as we hadn't seen Erin since New Years. They are the cutest couple. 💗

She hurt her ankle while they were hiking, that's why the 
compression sock. 

We were in the outdoor kitchen to watch the pre race and opening ceremonies of Nascar. The patriotism gets me every time! 💖 [USA][USA] It was also Champagne Sunday so we enjoyed while I cooked up some bacon for bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for lunch. YUM!

crazy with them, as I usually kill em. Don't have my 
daddy's green thumb! 😟

We enjoyed and then later headed next door for an early happy hour, as John leaves around 0300 for CA on Monday. Some of Karen's  family were over so had a nice visit with them too. 

Looks like tomorrow we'll probably head for Lowes and wherever else we need to go. We need some paint for the final painting the back of the garage. Ken's got the wood cleared out, so he can paint that section. We'll see what the rest of the week holds!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the bunkhouse :) Adam touches base from Utah, wreaths delivered to the right houses LOL.

 Sunday we did head over to Karen's for making cauliflower pizza crust and cabbage lasagna.  It was a fun afternoon for us girls. The food turned out yummy. 

Ken put together Karen's new 36 inch Blackstone that John got her before she left Paso Robles. Very nice! We have a smaller one and love it for camping, especially with the grandkids. 

We hung out, had a fire and a good time. 

Monday we had to be in Carson City to drop off the Tundra for its 30,000 mile service at 0815 so we took 2 vehicles. After picking Ken up we headed for Betsy's Big Kitchen to have breakfast. Yummy! 

Then we headed for Total Wine as I put in an order before we left home. Got the whiskey for Thanksgiving as that seems to be the traditional drink of the day for some reason. We'll be heading over the hill to California and my sister's house. 

We picked up a prescription at Raleys in Gardnerville, picked up the truck and headed home. We were home right about lunch time, but not needed because of breakfast. 

Later in the afternoon it time to head out back to a nice fire. 

Tuesday was a stay at home day and time to decorate the bunk house for Christmas. We won't do inside the house until the day after Thanksgiving or Saturday but I wanted to get this done 😊🎅

I had a great few hours and I love the way it turned out!

We headed next door at 1300, as Karen's mom was having a little party for a special friend of hers.  We didn't stay long as Sammy, our firewood guy called and wanted to meet in Smith Valley so we could get another load. Off we went. By the time we were done we stopped at Dini's in town for linner around 1630. Came home and we were done.

Wednesday was another stay at home day so tried to do a little Christmas shopping online, a few things done. 

After lunch I decided to kill a couple of hours and make some Christmas curtains for the front door. Why not? I had a piece of fabric I've had for years so this'll do for this year. Maybe next year something brighter 😃

I doubled the curtains so you can see the print from inside and outside..

While I was sitting here UPS dropped off our wreath from Wreaths Across America 💖💗💙 Had a couple of phone calls to them as the order didn't appear correct, but checking today it seems the 3 wreaths have been delivered to the correct addresses today! 

Ken's been out making a cover for the wood as he's leaving it on the little trailer. It's been a cool day all day 50 degrees right now with a feels like 47. It's been nice and toasty all day as we've had a fire going.  😊🔥

Heard from Adam, he's in Utah near Goblin Valley State Park and is looking for some slot canyons.  He'll probably stop by here on his way home on Monday. 💕 Couple of his pictures below 💙
