A special homecoming, Happy 95th Grandma! The key was found :)

The Navy's in town and later this week, the Marines! 💙💙

Our Sailor on the right, Allissa, Lori, Russell, Aaron and Ken

Happy 95th Grandma!

Last Monday evening Ken talked with his brother Don about the missing key. Seems most tractors use generic keys of the same make and model. Thanks Deb for the same information we read on Tuesday morning.

Ken headed for the local tractor dealer on Tuesday morning and got a set of keys. Ken came home and got our large trailer, went back to the store and loaded the tractor up. Then he stopped at the tractor dealer and gave the guy back his keys. 😊

Later that afternoon, some of the snow had melted so looking in the sand and gravel here and no key.  He went over to Karen's and sure enough right where we had parked there's an orange key ring on the ground! Because it snowed Saturday night we couldn't see it until then! Believe me, Ken was definitely relieved.

Tuesday the 13th was my birthday and Ken had asked what I wanted for dinner. Barbecued Papa burgers, what else?! I wanted to do it at Karen's because the pups had been alone all day so we headed over that afternoon.

I had the best day with phone calls, texts and messages coming in all day 💗 Had a surprise call from my friend Vicki who I used to work with many years ago and then from friends Al and Irene who are now in Florida. Our friends (and old neighbors) called last night too. Just an all around awesome day!

I made some zucchini fries to go with the burgers. Karen and her mom loved them too. We visited and enjoyed the evening.

Took a few pictures before the sun went down

Sweet little tree from Karen, we'll try not to kill LOL

Karen's mom Izzie made me this sweet sign 💗

Friday we headed for Marysville, CA to pick up meat from the butcher shop. We bought the meat from THE CONDER RANCH in Rio Linda, CA. We ran into KC, Sierra and Rylee Mae while we were there! 😊

Since Bryan and Cheryl are in Lincoln we stopped for a quick visit to drop off their Christmas presents. I also meet the newest member of their family Gracie and 8 year old chihuahua they adopted from the local SPCA. She's a sweetie!

Gracie

She fits right in 💙

Saturday, got the rest of the Christmas presents together so we could head back over the hill to deliver them. Later in the afternoon a fire appeared on our phones, John was home LOL. We headed over for a too long Happy Hour.

Sunday morning we left home around 0630 to head for our son's Eric's house in Cool, CA. Got there and visited a bit and then headed for Edelweiss in Auburn. Enjoyed a great brunch with Eric, Christina and Mason. Love getting to spend time with our family! Thanks again for lunch!

After that we drove to Antelope to drop off gifts there and visited a bit with Russell and Lori. On to Ken's mom's house after that.

Grandma and her grandaughter Jennifer, visiting from TN

Grandma actually ended up with a nice crowd for her 95th birthday. We stayed a few hours and then headed to Rocklin to our motel room. We had a nice night relaxing. Brought some meatloaf from home and of course there was leftover lunch.

This morning (Monday) we took our time getting ready and then Ken dropped me at the local Ross so I could hopefully finish a few needed gifts.

As I was walking out, Ken was walking in and said plans had changed. We were headed to Rio Linda to pay Sierra for the meat and Ken was grabbing some walnut firewood KC wanted him to have.

We were greeted by a little elf that opened the door when we got there and had a nice visit with Rylee and Sierra until it was time to head for lunch.

Sierra sent me the best video of my little pen pal singing a solo of OH HOLY NIGHT in an angel costume at church yesterday.  💕 I'm going to try and upload it as it's so special.

At 1200 we met Russell, Lori, Aaron, Jacob and Allissa for lunch. Hugs all around and especially Jacob who we haven't seen in a year.  Our Sailor is home from Italy for the holiday. 💖 We had a wonderful lunch and even better conversation with everyone!

Nearing 1400 or so we left for everyone to head their separate ways. We'll see them again on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. 😊 Gonna soak up as many hugs as I can from ALL the grandkids!

We debated going home, but with having to come back tomorrow we got a room in Carson City for the night. So now we're just relaxing and enjoying Happy Hour.

Aaron had a football banquet this last week. His coach had some awesome things to say about him and his hopeful future. He's still waiting for ACL and Meniscus surgery.

Grandson Aaron 2nd from the left! Captains!

Have a great evening!
