Monday morning we left for Cave Lake State Park outside of Ely, NV. We arrived around 1600 hours. We found us a camp spot and settled in. Unforuntely they were under a fire watch so we couldn't have a fire or a charcoal grill 😡 in order for Ken to barbecue. Luckily we had chicken he cooked the day before.

Tuesday morning we headed for Goblin Valley State Park in Utah. Our good friend Sue had always said we needed to stop there and we are so glad we did. We love Utah anyway and this was just another stop for us!

We had made reservations for 2 nights and glad we did. Reservations were 45 a night, which include the state park entrance fees. So 90 for the 2 nights. Beautiful sights and they had bathrooms with showers if u needed them. A dump station is nearby.

We've been staying in a really nice RV park called Alpen Rose a few miles out of town. I'll get a few pics in the morning. People are so friendly here! It's pretty full as there's a bike rally in town this weekend! It's been a very busy time but oh so fun!
Time for bed..Tomorrow we head for Page, AZ and Lake Powell. A slow way home! Our next adventure? A little weekend for our real anniversary we hope!

I love that place and there is no better train ride than the Durango Silverton!!!
ReplyDeleteWE rode one from Chamas, NM a few years ago and that one was awesome. I think that's my fave so far. Durango next and then Grand Canyon Railway.
DeleteGoblin Valley looks so cool! The names of the parks and the places are so appropriate. Looks like a great time and that train ride wow, would be fun.
ReplyDeleteIt really was a great place and does fit the name. Glad we finally got there. You should look at Durango and the ride on your way out or home. Worth it!

DeleteGoblin Valley is still on our bucket list. We have been by that area many a time, but always the wrong time of the year.
ReplyDeleteIt's been on ours for many years too. Because it's out of the way a bit we always skipped it but this year was a go! Wasn't too far out of the way to Durango :)
