Aaron and Kenna go to the Senior Ball, Food on the outdoor grill :) Trip to Fallon and then Fernley today.

This past weekend went by way too quickly! Grandson Aaron and his sweetie Kenna attended Aaron's senior ball. A few pictures of the happy couple. Hard to believe in a few weeks we'll be attending 2 graduations in California!

It was a nice weekend, so a lot of it was spent in the outdoor kitchen using the grill.

Everything you need to make shish kabob without the sticks
Turned out amazing, marinated in Italian dressing for 2 days.

We made a trip to Fallon on Saturday to visit an antique
fair. We came home and Ken used the griddle to
do hamburgers and I did steak fries for linner. Ken's plate above

Champagne Sunday

Time to cook bacon! :)

Ken knew he was going to enjoy his meat and cheese
quesadilla on the low carb shell 😁

A great Sunday brunch πŸ˜‹

We spent a lot of the day out in the kitchen just enjoying the day.
Ken spent time trying to get the tv to work, as the antenna we
bought a few months ago seemed to give it up. He used the one
from the bunk house and it seemed to work on some channels. Not
sure what's up with that. Give him something to do when he's got nothing to keep him occupied πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Doesn't happen when you're a happy homeowner!

Today we headed for Fernley and Lowe's to pick up some paint so he can finish the back of the garage. A quick Walmart stop and back home in time to have lunch.  It's way too windy outside to do anything, except for Happy Hour 🍷🍸🍺 in the outdoor kitchen 😁 which is where I'm headed now!
Have a great evening!

Mason's Senior Prom, Law Enforcement Run, Video call and pictures from Jacob and Allissa!

Last weekend was grandson Mason's Senior Prom. So here are a few pictures that Christina and Mason sent to me. Again, so hard to believe the last of our grandsons are graduating high school. The time has certainly flown. πŸ˜πŸ’—

Grandson Mason all dressed up!

The thorn between two roses πŸ’™  Just kidding Mason

I love this picture! Love how all these friends come together πŸ’™πŸ’—

Another picture of my handsome grandson!

Yesterday morning we headed to Reno for a Total Wine Pick up order. Then we went to Minden in order for Ken could get his lung X Ray for his appointment next week with Dr. Foster.  He's been really good at 6 month follow ups since Ken's lung issue 4 years ago. Hard to believe it was 4 years already. That was such a scary time, but with a good ending. 😁

Thought this was a pretty cool cloud formation.

After his x ray made a trip to Walmart for groceries and then to Sharkey's for linner. Doug, the fish tacos were once again amazing, according to Ken.

On the way home we passed several law enforcement officers running for the Law Enforcement Memorial Run. It goes from Las Vegas to Carson City every year. The officers run a 12 mile relay. It was pretty cool to see.

Stole these two from the internet! Way to go!

The last runner being escorted by Nevada Highway Patrol.
By the time I got my phone out, only pic I got LOL.

Once we got home and unloaded groceries, Karen texted that the neighborhood bar was open and it was Happy Hour so we headed over for a nice visit. Out on her back deck area with patio heaters going we were nice and toasty.

Today we were up and reading blogs around 0600. After breakfast Ken went out and worked on firewood, by the end of the day the trailer's empty πŸ˜ƒ and wood is stacked.  Now on to other projects. LOL.

I baked some low carb cookies for treats with our coffees. I started marinating some chicken and veggies for Friday's dinner on the outside griddle. I saw what's called unshish kabobs. Love shish kabobs but this looks easier and ends up with the same result. We will see. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

Got a cute picture from Allissa and Jacob with a message asking if they could call in an hour or so?!! YES!

We talked for over 1/2 hour. Made our day for sure! It was late in England, but they are enjoying being together. Allissa's planning on one more trip before Jacob comes stateside in September. πŸ’–

Allissa said she likes to take pictures of the food, because it's so amazing!

Sweet Allissa πŸ’–

Grandson Jacob, enjoying a drink!

The sweet coupleπŸ’™πŸ’—

Don't know what it is, but looks yummy!

Look at that avacado toast with poached eggs..

That bread looks oh so good!

Allissa sent this to my sister Linda, they didn't ride the
ferris wheel as there was probably 200 people in line!!

My sister Wendy stopped by Linda's house today with baby Phoenix. Linda's
granddaughter Cassidy in the  picture too! πŸ’–πŸ’™

Another day gone! Tonight it's Happy Hour inside as it's so windy outside and cooler temps. Have a great evening! 🍺🍸

Allissa and Jacob are in London, Happy 50th Bryan, Happy 22nd tomorrow Allissa, griddle cooking, working on firewood

Our sweet Allissa and Jacob are in London and it looks like they're having a wonderful time together. She sent these pictures today πŸ’– I have to say since Jacob's been overseas, he's certainly seen a lot of beautiful countries. Glad that he's been able to do all the traveling he has.

Allissa turns 22 tomorrow. What better place to be? Happy Birthday sweetie! We love you! πŸ’–πŸŽ‚

Last Wednesday our oldest son Bryan turned 50!! Just so hard to believe! April is a busy month for birthdays in this family!

We've actually been pretty close to home lately. Ken's been working on the firewood he brought home and he's doing a great job! Looking good for next winter!

Certainly looks a lot different than when he brought
it home. Ken's back is feeling it! I tell him not to
over do, but he doesn't listen of course.

We've enjoyed using the griddle that Eric and Christina got us. Temps have been perfect for using it in the mornings.

Conder Ranch sausage! So yummy! Bacon and sausage
cooked ahead for the week or so. The mess in the
outdoor kitchen not inside! 😊😊

One day last week, breakfast just because 😊

Champagne Sunday! Snow is definitely melting on the mountains

Peppered bacon from Raley's

Meat, cheese and jalapeΓ±o on low carb tortillas. Ken's
choice for yesterday's brunch πŸ’™

Baby Phoenix at about 2 1/2 months

Well, that's about it for today's write up/catch up. It's almost quitting time for Ken. He's off at 1600! LOL. Happy Hour begins after that! Have a great evening! 🍻🍷
