We're on a little vacation! :)

We left home Thursday morning the 31st heading for Yreka, CA. Only to stay the night before moving on. We were headed towards the Oregon coast.

Had a nice night at the Budget Inn. Not someplace we'd probably stay again, but the owners were nice and the rooms were recently updated. Just a place for the night. We didn't bring the Mansion, so we're staying in motels. It's summer so prices are up there, but the  gas mileage in the car sure helps!

Friday morning after a quick stop at Walmart for ice and a few things we were on our way. We had a beautiful drive to Medford, Oregon and then we headed for Crater Lake National Park. Last time we were there was over 20 years ago the day after our kids threw us a 30th wedding anniversary party. Eric and Christina and Seth came with us along with Adam. Seth was 10 months old and now he'll be 24 in November! Adam was about three and he's 26!

We know why we don't go on vacation to National Parks in the summer. TOO MANY PEOPLE! We enjoyed anyway after we were finally able to find a parking spot, but were glad to get out of there and find a place to have our lunch.

On the drive to Crater Lake

You have to see it to see the beautiful blue!

Pictures don't do it justice.

We were overcast with thunder and lightning

Traffic was ridiculous!

Wizard Island..

Our lunch time view from the car!

Traffic everywhere, which is why we go in September normally

After that it was about a 2 hour drive to Medford where we stayed at a motel Savano. Very nice, except the parking. The young man in the office gave us a spot right in front of our room, which was very nice.

Oregon certainly has its share of "unhoused" (HOMELESS) people. They are everywhere. You'd think you were in Sacramento.

After a nice night in Medford, we stopped at Walmart to get ice and some beer for Ken. On the road and tis afternoon we came into Brookings. A cute little seaside town. We had linner at Rancho Viejo, a family owned mexican restaurant . We will definitely be back! Prices, quantity and service were awesome!

Half a carafe, I had too LOL.

Who could say no to this sweet little girl? Trying to raise $
for a trip to Grey Wolfe Lodge or someplace in SF. I told her mom
no to that. LOL. Yes I donated. 💗

After that we found our motel, The Brookings Inn Resort. A very nice two story motel. Very family friendly with an indoor pool. Ken and I are laughing as there is obviously a family with kids above us. Little ones running and I'm sure jumping on beds. Oh the memories. 😪💙

We're enjoying Happy Hour as I am writing this. A beautiful room and each other.

Tomorrow we have our Whitewater Jet Boat Ride, our main reason for this vacation. We did the jet boat ride last September but were too late for the whitewater. So you come in the summer to experience it one time! They actually called today to ask if we wanted to upgrade for Free to the Whitewater Experience which is 6 hours and we think that's too long. Ours is 4 hours including lunch . Long enough for us.

Brookings, Oregon

There was a path to the ocean, but we really didn't have time today.

These two cuties are headed to the beach to meet up with Allissa's dad and
family! 💙

Nephew Dusty and his dad, Bobby put together this beautiful deck, when Dusty
said he wanted a stock tank pool. Nancy, this would be perfect for you. 6 foot.

Cassidy enjoying the new pool!!
Christina ordered this Champagne dispenser for out by
HER STOCK TANK! 💗 I might need one myself for
Champagne Sundays when it's HOT! LOL

Yep, she's enjoying! This is in a temporary place for now,
but she loves it!

Have a great night! I'll update soon! :)
