Gardnerville, Cold temps, Affordable Propane Excellent Service!

Tuesday morning we headed towards Gardnerville and a visit to Walmart. Time for some groceries! We have Raley's here in town, but they're so expensive!

We weren't in a hurry so we could have come home for a very late lunch/linner or we could go to Sharkey's. We opted on Sharkey's. We usually always have good service, but not so much this time. Food was awesome though.  I just think when they're not so busy, the waitress could look at you and ask is everything OK? Not a waitress we've had before. It won't keep us from going back, but we'll probably ask for one of our regulars next time.

Our beautiful Wilson Canyon..

Yep, we hit fog in a few places!

Headed toward Topaz Ranch Estates..

Our little Yerington πŸ’™

NV Energy hard at work, replacing a fallen pole!

Early morning picture out the kitchen window!

We got home and got a text from Karen about Happy Hour so we headed over. We spent a couple of hours under their propane heaters before heading home. John had brought home a bottle of Frey's from the local distillery in Fallon. It's oh so good, but I need some seltzer with it. 😊

Wednesday was a stay at home day! πŸ˜ƒ We watched the icicles grow and the cloud cover. A nice relaxing day. I should take down the Christmas stuff in the bunk house, but not ready yet. I made a few different items for Ken's good for you sweets. Enchiladas and cole slaw for dinner.

Ken had lab work this morning, so he left early and came home for treats and coffee that he needed. Then to his regular dentist appointment. Once he came home I had made low carb meat quesidilas for brunch. Since it was brunch, mimosas were needed (well not needed, but enjoyed).

Somewhere around 1500 he decided to call Affordable Propane as we're at 25%.  He told the girl on the phone, no hurry but he wanted to call early. Shoot, it wasn't even 10 minutes later and the owner backed into our driveway. I know they were in the area, but that's service!

So glad we changed companies several years ago.

We had rain overnight and some this morning, so that's helping with the melting of the snow! Still beautiful though. Looks like there's more coming for the weekend and next week.

John called today and because of the outages in CA they wanted him to come back to work early, so he's headed to Shingle Springs to pick up his work truck and then to Ukiah. He called later this afternoon to let us know he was over the hill, but it had its moments. These winds and rain are playing heck on CA. Our son and daughter in law in Lincoln, CA lost power last night again.

I was trying to get over to Sacramento to my niece's baby shower but it doesn't look like the mountains are going to allow it. Luckily I had my gifts sent to my sister's house where it will be held. Hoping to Face time at least so I can see it 😊

Karen just called so we'll head to her house in just a bit. Ken's been outside making kindling for the wood stove, because obviously we need it!

Have a great evening! 🍺🍷

  1. The snow is pretty but better at your house than mine. That was extremely good service with the propane! Lots of time to take down decorations when it’s warmer. Stay safe if you decide to journey out over the mountains.
