Worked on Wednesday aging the vanity and we like the way it turned out. Hard to getting used to not caring how you paint things, after so many years of trying to get it perfect.
We were about to give up on finding a piece of metal sheeting large enough to cover the vanity top, but think we've got a close one at Home Depot, we'll have to buy 2 sheets but Ken can seam it in the middle of the sink, so we're thinking that'll be ok.
Ken got the area for the vanity ready, got the vanity ready for the plumbing and yesterday we got the vanity in its space..yayyyy! Looks really good.
I spent the afternoon, sanding and staining some more shiplap, so this morning i'll varnish it and then more can go up. Ken's planning on getting the rest of the tile up today...know he'll be glad when that's done. It's really looking awesome in there!
It looks like tomorrow (Saturday) we'll head for Carson City, got a concrete board and probably a box of tile to take back. We'll pick up the metal, a faucet for the sink, and medicine cabinet.
Sunday, I'm still headed over the hill for the day. Looking forward to a little sister time!!
