HOME! and projects to keep us busy...

Yesterday (Friday) we decided to head for Fernley and go by Lowe's and pick up a few things..well...we left and headed for Reno to run by RC Willey's and see what they had...Found a nice red leather chair that we both liked for the living room...didn't buy it have to think about it..but REALLY like it!  My grandma had a red leather recliner in her living room that had a bookshelf behind it..Ken's grandma Alma also had a red chair /recliner when he was growing up...we're thinking about it!...

Went by Wigwam in Fernley and had lunch..then onto Lowe's and picked up stuff for fencing that Ken wants to put up here..to basically hide the crap we picked up from Winnemucca...

Today (Saturday) we got up slowly and got the day going...I went to Scolari's and picked up a few groceries and back home I came...Ken was working on his fence.  I decided to paint a couple of the flower boxes my dad made way back when...I was trying to think of when he made them and it had to be over 30 maybe closer to 40 years ago..he's been gone going on 24 years..and they lined the walkway out to the clothesline and backyard way before that..every year he and my mom would plant flowers in these little boxes and they would blossom all summer long...while at Lowe's we got a six pack of marigolds..which were daddy's favorite...and today I painted a couple of the boxes and planted the flowers..they're on the back porch and look so good...

Daughter in law, Lori ran her first 5k today!  Yayyyyy...Lori!  

Made reservations for us all to go up in the Washington Monument when we're there in June.  It has been closed since a earthquake in  2011 or 2012..opened just a few days ago!!
