Happy Hour in Q..shade looking..and a new baby in the family

We finally got on the road yesterday about 1430 or so, we had our lunch cleaned up and then stopped at the dump station on the way out.  We had a lovely drive from Imperial Dam LTVA to La Posa South LTVA.  Our sticker is good until the 6th but don't think we'll be using all that time.

On the way to Q

We stopped at the water station here at La Posa South and filled up with water. No waiting and no line for the dump station either!  What a difference a couple of weeks makes around here.

We pulled up behind Tom and Deb's Stinger B celebratingthe danceand could see they had company. It was Rick and Kathy from It's about time   We sat ourselves down, grabbed a drink and proceeded to talk for quite awhile.  Love Happy Hour with this group.  We met Rick and Kathy at Bloggerfest, but nice to get to know them in a smaller setting. Eventually we found ourselves a home, not too far from Tom and Deb's place.
Happy  Hour ..from the left..Kathy, Rick, me Tom and Deb..:)

The sunset was incredibly beautiful so I may have gone a little crazy with pictures..but like our grandson, Jacob says "I just couldn't help myself!"
Start of the sunset..

The Stinger "B"...

The colors were so pretty I couldn't help myself!

Caught Tom and Ken having a conversation..:)

What a great place to end the day!  Great friends and wonderful sunsets! Life couldn't be any better at the moment.

This morning I had set the alarm for 0430.  Ken offered to go do the laundry in town, but want to get there early.  He left about 0620 and we'll have breakfast when he gets back.  Then on to see what the day brings.

Ken came home  with clean clothes! yay..he even folded them! So we decided to go to town and see if we could find Shade Pro or something like it. Not to be today.  It appears they've already left town, until next year.

This morning over the mountains...

We drove around and checked out where to park to hike the Q mountain. It was about 1140 so what the heck...Silly Al's Pizza didn't look crowded at all so we decided to go in.  Gotta have your once a year Silly Al's.  We ordered beer and wine and then a small pizza between the two of us. YUM... We looked up and who was standing by the checkout?!  George!  Our Awesome Travels  He was buying a shirt for a friend.  We offered him a beer, but a little early for him.  We chatted for a bit and then he left to go home to Suzie.  We'll see them soon!

After lunch we headed back home, drove through a couple of the LTVA's and saw they were a lot less crowded then before!  Guess people have headed out where ever they need to be.
Really cleared out of rv's..

Very few

I got my chair and my kindle and laid there, with my legs in the sun, moving as need be..Ken did a few things and then at 1500 we headed next door to chat with Tom and Deb..and boy did we..they are so easy to talk to that the conversation just flows!  We left about 1815 as they were heading to Rick and Kathy's for a campfire, we were invited but Ken was cooking chicken for dinner so it was getting late already.

Watched the sunset and just enjoyed.  Eventually we had dinner which was awesome. Ken had his bar b q chicken thighs and I made a veggie quesadilla which was awesome.
Sunset tonight..

We'll set the alarm, to climb Q mountain...yay...not! But i'll give it a go.

Today my nephew, Dusty and his wife Chelsea found out they are having a girl at the end of July.  Owen will be a big brother!  Dusty is breaking a 45 year streak.  When my Daddy found out I was pregnant with Bryan he said "we need some boys in this family" ..ok daddy..Since he said this, every biological child born in the Phillips line has been male.  Bryan, Eric, Russell, Dusty, (my sister Wendy adopted 3 girls..which would have made daddy happy)..(then there's Jesse who we always include in the family line)..Bryan, Eric, Russell and Dusty have 6 sons between them..but now there's a little girl in the making..We are all so happy for them!

Have a great evening..as I know we will..

    1. Gotta say Silly Al's does make a good pizza. We don't eat it out very often but definitely have to make an exception here. Happy Hours have been fun, the way the conversation flows.!
