Geek Squad wasn't geeky enough..:( Getting a visitor today!

Got ourselves going Wednesday morning heading for Carson City.  We stopped at Smith's grocery store (same as Kroeger back east) as they had great deals on pork and a few other things.  Headed to Lowe's to spend some more $$ for the outhouse.  Now I'm thinking we're pretty much spending money except for buying the toilet, water piping and wood for the door. So we're getting there.

After Lowe's we got to Best Buy for our appointment.  Well, he didn't know too much about Google and suggested I pay the $1.99 a month or $20.00 a year and maybe that would solve the problem of not being able to post pictures on the blog.  I know Google says if pictures are saved in high quality they don't take up space? I have no idea how to do that or what that even means..so when I get some time i'll investigate because I'm sure it can't be that hard...right?!

We had lunch at our favorite Chinese place and then headed home.  Our neighbors, Karen and John had some gravel delivered and put in the area where has made 4 water and electric rv sites for visitors.  She called us to see if we had a tractor (we don't) as the way it was dumped it had to be spread.  A lot of work for them! John is working in Tonopah this week so Karen, her daughter Lyndsey and their handyman Enrique spread it all by hand!  When we got home Ken hooked the Jayco up to the Tundra and we went over there and he backed the trailer up, pulled out, backed up again several times in each site to compact it some and make sure you don't get stuck!  There's a lot of sand here in this part of NV.  Afterwards we enjoyed a nice fire, conversation and some beer with Karen.  We are very fortunate that on both sides we have the best neighbors!

Yesterday morning we went over there and took the quad with harrow behind it and compacted it a little more.  I painted a few signs white that Ken had made up for her to go on each RV site.  They are hosting a birthday party Saturday for one of their friends from Reno.  We are invited so we'll head over Saturday afternoon.

I ran to Scolari's and Ken worked on some plumbing on the outhouse.  Looking good!

Plumbing tied together for venting..

Venting going out the roof..

This is ready for the toilet..

sink plumbing

Roofing and venting..Roofing doesn't
match, but doesn't matter as it will be
covered by old corrugated tin..

My pillow project from the other day..
7 pillows..

Made some chicken thighs for Ken along with some mashed potatoes, asparagus and mushroom gravy. I had a veggie patty and pretended it was steak..haha..
Ken's dinner...

Ken's sister, Diane texted last night and said she'd like to come over today if we were home and spend the night.  So looking for her sometime mid morning for a visit.  It'll be nice to see her and catch up.

One of those nights, woke up about 0230 and never could get back to sleep. I hate it when that happens.  We've had some howling winds all night, but I like hearing that and now it seems to have calmed down.

Russell posted yesterday that our grandson, Aaron made the school (7th grade) basketball team.  Not surprising as that kid is good!  He also has a 4.0 grade average, so keep it up Aaron!

Grandson Aaron..takes his basketball
seriously!

Our beautiful sky last night..looked like a flying saucer

Time to get this show on the road, wake up hubby, visit with our blogging friends, coffee and then get ready for company..Have a wonderful day!

  2. It must feel good to get near the end of a project, the buying and the work. I remember that feeling with our bunky last year.
    Good job, Aaron!
Those sky pictures are awesome, love the saucer!
