That was quite a week with the grandsons!

Shows how fast a week goes! Can't believe my last post was last Saturday.

All the boys going into the Nevada State Museum...

Sunday we headed for Carson City and the Nevada State Museum. I've got to admit i'm not a big museum person..but this one was awesome!  We had to take two cars because we had 5 grandsons but it worked out ok.  You gotta do what you gotta do! :)

Nevada Museum..bottom floor is a Mining Museum..so cool!!
It's like being in a mine!!

The museum was $8.00 per adult but kids under 18 were free..very well spent money!  Surprising how put together this museum was..met the standards of many we've seen over the years!  Foreigners were there also, so how they find these places amazes me!

So we spent a couple of hours touring the museum and then headed to the park where Rockabilly was and had lunch..I made sandwiches etc before we left home..so worked out great!

Monday morning we headed for Bridgeport for camping! The boys were excited, as they love Bridgeport!  We were hoping for some good fishing for the boys!  This time instead of taking the tent for them, we took the 97 Ford (aka..money pit)..with the cab over camper on it..and it pulled the Jayco.  Worked well..gotta admit Ken loves the 7.3!!
Our view at camp!

Mason with a fish!

Under the EZ UP..our saving grace!

Aaron was thinking about killing Seth..but decided against it...hahah

Another one!

The boys found these things to put in Jacobs hair...hmmmmm

Bridgeport is only about 75 miles or so from us, so it's a quick trip!  Got there in time for lunch and the boys took off for fishing.  Adam left that morning and headed home to Georgetown. It was nice he spent a few days with us though.
He is in love at this moment, so I think that was why he wanted to get home.

We were there for 3 nights..it was really warm..on Tuesday, Seth, Jacob and I came back home really quick as I had forgotten some things, but then again it was so hot in the middle of the day, we figured why not?  2 of the nights we were able to have fires and wear sweatshirts, but the 3rd night it was so warm we didn't..the boys caught a few fish, but Jacob and Seth took pictures of theirs and threw them back.  Mason brought 3 of them home..1 had to be trashed, as when they cut in to it , gross!!

We headed back home Thursday and were home about 1300.  Yesterday we all went to breakfast at Dini's in town and then I took them all home.  Funny how fast summer goes nowadays..Seth and Mason were having a bar b q at their house today, Russell's family is getting ready to go camping tomorrow.  Then it's back to school for all.

Jacobs Breakfast was huge!!

Breakfast at Dini's in Yerington...

I decided to come home highway 50 to 88 ..traffic was horrible on 50 because it was summer and Friday..I love this drive..so peaceful and beautiful..and not many other cars!
Carson Pass...love this area...

Looking towards our house...love it!

I got home in time for a beautiful show put on by Mother Nature..we sat on the tailgate and watched...loved lightning and rainbows...

View from the tailgate of the truck...

A little later! Love our skies!

Adam has an awards dinner on Wednesday, because of Boys State, so I plan on attending that.  Thursday, back home.

Did some cleaning today, but it's so hot..the energy level drops quickly....

Sitting here this afternoon, we decided to leave here Monday, do some business in Reno and then spend the night on Monday at Boomtown.  Tuesday, probably stop somewhere and look at some cars (Hot August Nights starts this week) and then come home.  Nice to able to decide to do that last minute.  Yes, the bunkhouse needs to get started, but it's so darn hot!!

The last few days, we're hearing of people who are dying, or passed away..or are so sick you just don't know what's happening..glad to be able to do what we do at this point in our lives...tomorrow's not a given..so we're thankful for every day we do have!  Just remember to be happy, and enjoy every day you have..you only live once, make it the best you can....

Don got a new cabin at his place in TN...love it..so he sent us these pictures and I'm sharing it with you..can't wait to get back there and stay in it!!
