Going over the damn at Fort Cobb State Park Oklahoma

We had a really nice evening last night at the park.  After going inside the 
camp host (we are assuming) came knocking on the door to collect the $18.00 fee for the park.  We would have paid it, except there was no iron ranger or any directions on how to pay..never seen a park like that before.  He was a grumpy guy, probably too cold out!  Didn't even ask Ken if he qualified for the discount..but hubby told him!  Too bad when hosts are like that, time to retire again I'm thinking!  

This morning we went over to take showers...(they were pay) mine was good, but Ken's never got warm and believe me we needed warm showers as it was soooo cold..the water bottles almost froze and by the time we left it was definitely colder than when we got up!  

Oklahoma State Parks are really nice, but kind of funny the difference in what they charge, discounts and the pay showers...Eufuala you had all the hot water you wanted, no pay..and it was only $12.00 compared to $18.00...

When we left the park, we were winging it as no signs for directions
but had a lovely ride and eventually found the right road..

Had a good drive, and ended in Amarillo, TX our destination for the night..We always go to
the Big Texan and have a late lunch!
