Grandma buys a new car too! A short week catchup!

The big news this week is Ken's 96 year old mother bought herself a brand new car! What did she get? A 2024 Subaru Outback! Adam started something by buying his Crosstrek and we followed. Grandma wanted something bigger than ours. Many happy miles Grandma!!

2024 Subaru Outback ๐Ÿ˜€

Nephew Jesse drove it home from Napa, CA
for her๐Ÿ’™

We are certainly enjoying ours even though we haven't been anywhere fun yet!

Sunday was our usual Champagne Sunday that we always enjoy!

One of my favorite places to be..
right in front of this wood stove! ๐Ÿ’–

This week was pizza on a low carb tortilla, cooked on
the grill! YUMMY

Chicken and toppings..oh so yummy! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Monday Ken had an ophthalmologist appointment in Reno. Everything went well there.

Then a pick up at Total Wine of course. We finished early, so might as well head home.

Tuesday and Wednesday were at home days getting things done. Tuesday I got our tax stuff routed to the CPA in Winnemucca. In a few weeks we'll hear the damage. Ken worked on getting things ready for a dump run and other outdoor things. WE've had lots of wind so it can't be fun!

Ken had his yearly appointment with our PA, Danny. Went very well and this morning he went for blood work. The doctor's office called mid day and said all his labs were good. Glad to hear that.

Wednesday I spent doing Bryan and Cheryl's that were a little more difficult because they lived in two states during the year. Tax programs sure make it easier as I wouldn't have wanted to do by hand like years ago. LOL. Crossing my fingers they're correct. Next year will be much easier!

Today, after cleaning a bit it was time to bake some low carb goodies for morning coffees. Zucchini bread and then a new one for me. Chocolate low carb brownies made with zucchini. We shall see. They smelled yummy while cooking.

Owen's had the chance lately to meet
some sports stars!

Little Cassidy is playing ball this season. Think she likes it?! ๐Ÿ˜

Opening day. She was the only girl on the team this day.
That's her dad Dusty on the right in back

Well, it's getting to be that time of day. Happy Hour! ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿท                          Enjoy your evening!

  1. Nice that Ken's mom enjoys her freedom and all the doctor's and his appointments are going well. The grands look to be enjoying the warmer temperatures.

We are happy to hear all of Ken’s appointments went well.
I agree, my favourite place would be near the wood fire too.
