Last Friday morning we were at NextCare in Yuma for Ken's 0940 appointment that actually happened about 1050. The doctor came in, looked at Ken's wound and said "Oh there's more I can get out" Oh yay (not). LOL. Gave him another shot and said he wanted to see him in a week. We're not going to be here, didn't know where we would be, so decided to head for home and see our Dr. Danny there. We can always head out again, once this is taken care of for good. I change his dressing daily and can see definite improvement. He's got strong antibiotics and pain meds so all his good. Think he's learned his lesson and won't wait so long if another abscess pops up.
We went by CVS to see if they had his antibiotic in yet. They said it would be ready in about an hour. We drove to the laundry we like, well as much as anyone likes doing laundry on the road. Ken dropped me off because with Friday traffic in Yuma, during snowbird time it would take forever to get back across town to pick up his prescription.
I just finished folding and in he walks. We were both starving, as it was nearing 1500. Across the freeway to Daybreakers Cafe, had a great dinner as always when we're in town.
Back to Pilot Knob to pick up the Mansion and head to Imperial Dam for our visit with our friends, Dave and Debbie. 💖 We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night there just relaxing and visiting. They've been on the road since September seeing America in their trailer. A wonderful trip from the sounds of it!
Monday morning after hugs all around, we all headed out. We headed to Yuma for a quick trip to Walmart and then up the road to Roadrunner BLM. We saw Doug and Yuma pulled over so pulled in to make sure they were ok. Then we followed Doug to where we awaited Deb to show us where they had camped. More hugs followed there as we met up with Tom, Deb, Riley, Deb and Doug.
We all made lunch and then gathered for Happy Hour outside until the sun went down and it got too chilly.
All night long the winds have howled once again. WE've got a light cloud cover and higher winds expected this afternoon.
Our niece Tasha, gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday afternoon. He's a cutie, spending some time in the NICU as she saw his breathing was labored yesterday. Perfect place for him to be for the best care. Christina visted them yesterday so that was nice for Tasha. Welcome to the world, Phoenix Ray Maidment!
Only pictures I could get uploaded today. Just not much service here. Have a wonderful day!
I'm glad Ken is feeling better. Hopefully it's a one and one thing! We were happy to hear that you and Ken would be pulling in with Doug and Yuma. Very cute baby, he's a keeper! Hopefully the winds blow themselves out today and we have some windless days in our future.

I wish we could have stayed longer, but glad we got yesterday with you and the days at Ogilby! Yes, can't wait to meet him in person!
DeleteOuch, that has got to hurt but Ken has to feel better than a week ago! The winds are howling today! Tomorrow we head back to Yuma to finish the dental work.
ReplyDeleteHe feels much better than a week ago and it looks much better! Still kind of tight around the wound, which is why I'm glad he'll see our Dr. next week. Wow how time flies, seems like it was going to be a long while you'd be in Q. :)
DeleteIt is wonderful to open the shades and see you across the way. Great that Ken is doing better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little face!
Fingers crossed the weather predictors are correct and we will be sitting out for Coffee Hour tomorrow. Bundled in our winter clothes but with no wind...lol
Thank you Deb, we loved being there with you guys! Wish it could have been longer. We'll hope for next year, unless you want to go to Michigan by way of Nevada! :)Yes, can't wait to meet the baby in person!
