Today was a great day to be an American and a Nevadan in Carson City!

Yesterday, Ken and I made the decision to attend the Open Nevada Rally in Carson City today.  It started at 1100 at the capitol building. We are definitely not political people, but we know what we believe in, so we had to be there.  Joe and Stacey from next door decided they were going too.  We attempted to meet up with a group I knew was coming from Las Vegas but missed them until they passed us on the road :)

WOW! What an amazing turnout! I swear I haven't seen so many American flags since right after 9/11.  It was awesome being among thousands that feel exactly the way we do.  Get on with it and let these people get back to work and their lives! Some of the stories I hear are horrible and these people are losing everything.  Even with the promises of $$ it's not happening.  As usual the $$ don't make it to the people who need it most.

Fair warning..picture overload below...
Ken and his new hat..he actually bought a ball cap too!

Can't help but love this shirt! I know CA is selling them too!

Yep!!

Lots of Trump supporters out there today!

They were so cute :)

Yes, we did!

More and more cars for the "parade" down Main Street!

So true!

Control is the goal...Pandemic is the tool!

This one really affects us!

This is a Yerington truck...

And trailer

This little girl was too cute getting her opinion out there

We hung out and cheered along with everyone and then as we were getting ready to leave when we saw everyone heading up a street.

Heading to the governors mansion..

Turns out the rally was heading for the governor's mansion.  Ok, we'll go! It was very peaceful and of course he never came out, probably wasn't home.

She was just too cute! Battle Born and USA Strong!!

Notice..no mask 😱 CA officers didn't wear masks yesterday either...hmmm

Gotta love the red, white and blue!!

Nevada is a mix of 2 huge cities and many rural areas (such as Yerington) which has not been affected by coronavirus. He has stated everyone will open at the same time..rather than looking at each city and their needs. Control, control, control. We know we're not the only state going through this but it's so frustrating.

We're proud of Nevadans for standing up and we're glad we were a part of it. Will it do any good? Probably not, but it was nice to see Americans coming together with the same goal in mind.

That's today's post..tomorrow I'll catch up on the week. Have a great evening, Happy Hour!

  2. Yahoo!!! Good for you guys!! It's way past time to open things back up. Time will show this has been a huge overreaction by government to put money in their pockets. Sadly the people who really need it are getting nothing!!! You have to be a big company with lots of employees to get any $$$$. The little guys won't be able to recover.

    1. We knew you'd see it exactly like we do. there are too many horror stories out there and they are not Virus related. You are correct about the $$$ and of course the more inflated #'s the more $$$ the state gets. Sick isn't it. I didn't get to read your post yesterday or I would have let you know we were going then. So glad we did!

  3. That's a lot of people at the rally! It is good to support a cause you believe in, no matter what it is. Often rallies don't do anything but show togetherness and there's nothing wrong with that. :)
I feel for the 'little businesses' all over both countries.

    1. Yes there were a lot more than what the news reported..shocking isn't it?! That they lied..That's how we felt being there..together to support a cause we believe in. Yep, the economic impact for them is awful..
