Happy Birthday Mason! Armagosa Valley to La Paz County Park..

I woke up at 0515 yesterday (Thursday) morning poked the hubby and said "It's  5:15 you want to get up" he said "I'm comfortable how about half an hour" ok...thinking no problem as I'm awake, so at 0600 I woke up. Still early you say?  Not early enough..haha. I've got to say I sleep good in this little home away from home.

We read our friends blogs, I tried to comment on several but either blogger or the internet wouldn't let me on some, others, no problem. hmmm...Got ourselves going after showers and breakfast. About 270 miles to go today to our destination of Parker, AZ. 

I called our grandson, Mason in the am as it was his 14th Birthday!  Where does the time go?! Happy Birthday Mason! Love ya!


A lovely drive we've done several times before.  We had lunch at almost the state line a little after 1300. It was quick as we ate some more of the vegetable soup (Ken's with potato and andouille sausage). On the road again. We arrived at La Paz County Park at 1650 AZ time.  Got our site over near the lagoon area no hookups but $18.00 a night.  We were close to the Pirates Den bar which we wanted to visit as Thursdays are Karaoke Happy Hour from 1500 to 1800.  Not that we're doing that, but love to watch!  

Got ourselves set up and walked over.  Found 2 spots at the bar area and enjoyed the view and the music.  We hardly ever go out to a bar so this is nice to enjoy when we come here.  Had a couple of rounds and then home to our cozy little trailer.  Left overs of veggie lasagna and salad and then to bed!

Well, with the time change and here by the river my phone hasn't a clue what time it is..thought we got up at 0500, but looking at the computer is was 0600 and now it's 0700!!! Gotta get this day going! Luckily a little over an hour or so and we'll be visiting with friends in person!  A stop by Walmart first..so it'll be a few hours! 

By the way for those of you in NV...it was 75 here when we got here yesterday! I know it's supposed to cool down for a bit, but we'll take the 60's over our cold temps in NV!

Time to get ready to head out!!
