Put our groceries away and then took a mile and a half walk around the campgrounds...here you have LaPaz County Park and Pirates Den kind of co mingled. So it's a nice walk and interesting to see all the RV's from small to large from old to brand new..love looking at them all!
About 1430 or so we headed over to the Roadrunner and had a drink and then our early dinner about 1530. Yum! Ken had the special which was a hamburger and I had the garden burger and it was awesome! Too many fries to finish!

We left there, came to the trailer and watched part of the movie, Las Vegas...funny! About 1730 we headed over to the Pirates Den to their outside bar and their happy hour. We had stopped there on our walk just to check out prices at their restaurant. We've never been, figured they'd be expensive but not so. Anyway, they were having happy hour from 1500 to 1800 so thought we'd see what was going on! Also they had karaoke happening..it was really fun..no we didn't karaoke but I give the people who did a lot of credit. There was a lot of people there! All these old people out there dancing, singing oh and drinking! We had two drinks..first round, gin and tonic and Ken had Amber Bock beer..$5.75 (happy hour) ...decided to see what a difference non happy hour was..$9.00..guess we know when to go! It was a beautiful night and they are right along the river.
Cute how some people decorate..it's 5:00 somewhere! |
Pirates Den Bar...there was a lot more people when we got there |

Back home and watched the rest of that movie.
This am we're packing up and heading over to Buckskin Mountain State Park for two nights and then to Lake Havasu State Park for a few days. After these 80 degree days it's gonna be tough to go home to winter temps!
Happy Birthday to my daddy...he would have been 97 today. Still miss you like crazy daddy!! xoxoxo
