Our 40th Wedding Anniversary!

September 16th...Wichita, KS...Hard to believe it's been 40 years we've been married!

Woke up and took our time getting ready to head out to Mt. Hope to visit with Uncle Lester and Aunt Alma.  When Karen had a 50 year anniversary party for them 4 years ago Bryan, Cheryl, Adam and I came out for that.  Ken saw Uncle Lester when we were out here in 2001.

We stopped in Wichita at a little diner for a late breakfast before heading out there. It was yummy!  Got out to Uncle lester's at about 1330..about half an hour later than we were hoping, because we had to turn back around to get gas..we just missed Karen by about 5 minutes but we had a great afternoon..Uncle Les looks good, he is just too cute!
Aunt Alma is still pretty spry, but she's a young 75..Uncle Les is 92.  Spent a couple of hours visiting with them, along with Stephen, David and their grandson Thomas.

Our 40th anniversary dinner! So yummy!!
So glad we got to see them!! Pics later..

We made reservations for the KOA in Wellington, about 25 mi south of Wichita.  We had been here before when we came out so we knew how nice it is!  We decided to splurge and got one of the cabins with a bathroom and little kitchen. Well, worth the $$..

We went to Walmart and Ken barbqued some boneless pork ribs, red potatoes and great northern beans!  I admit, I ate the pork, it was soooo delicious!! I can't remember the last time i've had meat as good as that!

Eric texted earlier in the day and said he got the 61 ready for a test drive, well didn't get too far as the radiator overheated, but he'll get it! Will be nice to see the car back on the road again!

September 17th...Wellington KS...Today we are going to go visit Aunt Ola, Uncle Odus and Maryann!
