4th of July, A little ride, Work on the extension! Happy 7th Cassidy!

Thursday, July 3rd Eric got here early afternoon. Mason, Chloe and Seth came later after work. We enjoyed the evening with them having  pulled pork sandwiches for dinner along with potato salad I had made. John and Karen came over to spend some time too.

4th of July dawned clear and hot. I cooked breakfast in the outdoor kitchen. We started with a Bloody Mary for Ken and Eric and champagne for me. 😋 After all it was a holiday! :) Mason and Chloe took the CanAm to the mountains to see where they wanted watch the fireworks from town later that evening.

Eric and Ken had Bloody Mary's I had my usual Mimosa.

Mason and Chloe 💖

It was definitely a good day, just visiting and enjoying the time together.

Before you know it we headed next door for hamburgers and hot dogs. Traditional 4th of July fare! It was delicious!

John and Ken 💙

Saturday morning after breakfast, Eric left along with Seth. A few hours later Mason and Chloe headed for home. No one wanted to drive home on Sunday and I can't blame them. Traffic from Tahoe would have made the drive terrible!

Sunday, John and Karen joined us for smash burgers. They never had them before and my 2nd time on the griddle. They were awesome and they loved them.

Smash burgers, they were yummy!

Sunday afternoon we went for a ride in John and Karen's
side by side. Took a ride to see progress on Night in the Country
that's here the end of July. Not much going on right now.
Check it out in a few weeks!

Not much happening

Bloody Mary's for Ken, John and Karen (her's was in the pretty
glass and virgin). Of course you know mine.

Tuesday we headed for Carson City and Ken's echocardiogram. The results weren't bad considering last year when his ejection rate was at 30%. After the ablation he was at 50 to 55% now he's at 45 to 50%. Again, much better than the 30%.

Thursday we took the Tundra for its service. I took my car too so we could run around while his was being serviced.

When we're home Ken has been working on the extension to the outdoor kitchen. It looks amazing, in my opinion. I've talked him into expanding the rest of it, but without closing that in. So we'll see when that happens. Fingers crossed it's soon LOL.

He likes the fact he has a place to put a beer.. LOL.

Just another view

From the outside...

Ken utilizing MY space already 😅

Next to be done, can't tell but it's pretty up hill. Will take some
work on his part.  Jim, I know from your work you know
it's not as simple as it looks!!

Great niece, Cassidy turned 7 on the 9th ..How fast they grow Up!

It's HOT here, so there will stock tank swimming this afternoon! Have a great afternoon! 💙🍻🍷

4th of July party, getting ready for camping, hot days now and ahead!

We headed over to John and Karen's around 1500 on Sunday, July 4th.  We were able to meet up and talk with friends of theirs we haven't seen for probably 3 years or more.

Red, white and blue jello shots 😊

People started arriving around 1600. Karen had music playing as the band wasn't going to start until 1900.  The food truck arrived around 1700 and got things set up really quick.  Oh the food was amazing. There was tacos, carnitas, rice, beans, chips along with hamburgers and hot dogs that Karen provided for them to cook.

What a great night! We were able to see fireworks from 7 miles away.  Yerington put on a nice show for sure.

Cameron, Sophia and Millie

The band played for a few hours and they are a great group!  Lots of dancing going on!

We ended up leaving around 1030, we both were tired.

Monday morning I put together a breakfast casserole to take over to Karen's for a late breakfast. There wasn't alot of energy over there haha. They stayed up a lot later than we did.

My Mother's Day present from Russell. I love he included the flags 💙

We ate, visited and then headed back home to get a few things done. We are going camping with Russell and family + grandson Mason on Thursday. We'll meet them at Stampede Reservoir outside of Truckee.  Temperatures are running 104 here for the next week, don't think it'll be much cooler there, but it's family time! 💗💗

WE sat outside late in the afternoon and had Happy Hour.  Bryan called later and I talked with him for quite awhile. Nice..

This morning I was awake at 0500, perfect.  Coffee and visiting with blogging friends. Put on my cowgirl boots, grabbed the hula hoe and dug up some weeds that were popping up all over the property.  I was only out there about an hour but by the time I finished I wasn't glistening (Patsy) I was ugly sweaty! It was only 0730! The cool shower felt awesome!

After breakfast Ken went outside to get some things done. He loaded the kayaks and got some things done for camping.

I got linens changed in the bunk house and fifth wheel, as we had some people spend the night on the 4th. Cabbage lasagna made and cooked for dinner before we had to turn on the a/c.

Cabbage Lasagna..it's yummy!

Way too hot to do anything outside this afternoon so figured to get this done. 101 right now.

Happy Hour time! Have a great evening!
