Bridgeport CA for a day drive, Helping John and Karen, a nice week and Avery Grace of course

Tuesday, June 2nd we had to go to Gardnerville  to pick up Ken's prescriptions. We didn't really have anything else to do in town so decided to take a drive to Bridgeport, CA  and check out some campgrounds for the spots we might want to camp out later this summer. We've camped there several times over the years, but with online reservations now for most we wanted to pick our spots.

I made sandwiches before we left so we'd have a nice lunch by the lake.

We got the prescriptions and headed towards Bridgeport. We had a beautiful drive down Highway 395 and just enjoyed the scenery. Gas in Bridgeport has always been expensive and was no exception. Gas prices were near $8.00 a gallon. OUCH! CA for ya.

WE drove through all the campgrounds and wrote down the numbers that will fit the Mansion. A lot of people camping already. The lakes are stocked and record size fish are being caught even from shoreline. We drove by one little boy who had 5 or 6 on his stringer, he held them up as we drove by. Luckily I had my window down and gave him a thumbs up and "way to go" Big smile on his part. 💙

Lunch time so pulled over at a wide spot by the lake and got our goodies out. Sat in our camping chairs and just enjoyed!

Once we finished we headed out towards home. Bridgeport is an adorable town. Very touristy in the summer.

Bridgeport Lake on the way home

This beautiful area is only an hour and a half from home, makes it easy to visit. Just have to find the time!

The rest of the week we've been home other than taking Karen to Lowe's in Fernley so she could get some wood and etc for a project they're working on right now. Heating up that's for sure.

It's a beautiful bridge, not quite finished yet but almost

Ken's worked next door some getting the pad area leveled and ready for a huge above ground pool that's going in soon. Today, Saturday we got the pool up. I think it's 12x25 and 52 inches deep. A lot of work but it'll be really nice!

Avery Grace 💗

Grandma Christina  and Avery 💗

A hint of a smile there 💕 Hard to believe on the 8th she'll
be a month old already. Hoping to see her soon!

Great nephew Owen and his friend Bradley spent the week at Westminster
Woods for their 5th grade trip along with other classmates. They had a ball!

Owen 💙

I'd say Owen's mom Chelsea was glad to have him back home.
Owen's dad Dusty actually went as a chaperone.

It's Saturday almost 1700. I think we've earned a beer and a glass of wine today so have a wonderful Saturday evening.
