We've been home the last couple of days just enjoying being home.
Ken got some lights up out back which really look good! He did some on a tree I call "Karen's tree" because she can see it from her bedroom at night. Got some on the outdoor kitchen and outhouse. We've had to order more from Amazon for the bunk house. Thinking someone used too many on Karen's tree LOL. My pictures don't do it justice at all, but looks so nice at night.
We had a wonderful fire last night and we just enjoyed looking at them 😍
I'll have to practice to get better pics
We put up a 6' tree we got from Target the other day. Came home, and with the winds we've been having it was toppled over. We stood it back up and Ken put a big brick on one side of the leg, but today it toppled again! Darn it, because it looks so cute out there.
Not much really going on except today is Ken's 71st birthday! Hard to believe, I still see the 16 year old boy I fell in love with! He just wanted to stay home today so I'm making some oven baked chicken, potatoes and veggies for dinner (that's what he wanted).
The best part of his day has been getting all the phone calls from so much of the family. That's what makes him happiest. 💙😁😁
Well, it's Happy Hour time with the Birthday Boy! Have a good night!
Happy Birthday, Ken! Hope you had a great day. Looking a lot like Christmas up your way and it appears you two are looking forward to the season. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you. He did have a good day doing just what he wanted! We do love the Christmas season!

DeleteHappy Birthday, Ken. I'm sure it was a great day.
ReplyDeleteThe lights look great. Bill put some white ones out today, i love them.
Thank you Patsy! Love our lights and really love yours too!
DeleteHappy Birthday Ken!
ReplyDeleteFantastic wall hanging, a very nice gift.
The lights look great, a tripod will help with the blurry night photos, it holds the camera steady.
The Christmas tree may need something similar to an umbrella holder with sand in the bottom or maybe some really strong duct tape. Lol.
Deb
Thank you! Yes that was a nice surprise! Thanks for the trip pod tip. Ken is definite duct tape guy!
DeleteA big happy birthday to Ken!!!! LOVE your blanket, and I bet those lights look fabulous in person!!
