Today's the day! Behlen Country sent two tubes of their rubber caulking to use on the stock tank. Some days it was just too hot to use but finally Ken got it done. Waited a day and then he put the flex seal on too. Next season I plan on painting the inside of the tank, so don't care that it's not pretty LOL. So later today he'll fill the tank. Fingers crossed it works. 😁
Doing a little deep cleaning in the house, since that's the only cool place to be after about 1000. Hoping the temps drop soon!
Got a little "art project" going on here. Introducing our Patriotic Red Neck Patio Tables. 😁💙
Which one do you like best? |
We've used these 5 gallon buckets with a patio paver on top for years. Decided to order some stickers to put on them. We bought some white buckets and put the stickers on, which I really like. Then I decided to paint an old Lowe's and Home Depot bucket (that awful orange) blue. Really like the blue buckets with the foam stickers. Today I went with red paint! Guaranteed not to blow away in our Nevada winds and easily portable!
The red tank was cheaper than the white or black LOL. |
Ken got the instant hot water heater hooked up to the cab over. It has a wet bath in there so now if someone stays and wants a shower they can do it! 😊 Thanks to Aaron Lowery for telling us about the propane tankless heater! So much cheaper to purchase than the electric one
Ordered some new pots and pans but not as nice as the ones I bought for the motor home. Since we only use the motor home a few times a year and close to home, changed them out with the new ones I just bought and put those in the outdoor kitchen. Got the new bar stool I ordered and a new coffee pot for the kitchen. Oh too much fun! LOL.
Yesterday we were invited to John and Karen's for barbecue. Great time with friends. We know Chaz, and he brought his mom, daughter and granddaughter. Too much fun was had by all and we didn't get home until after 0030. Karen sent home steak, chicken and potato so we've got dinner!
We had a late breakfast today, around 1000 so what goes with a good brunch on Sunday?!
You got it! A Mimosa for us! |
Grandson Adam took himself on a mini vacation this last week and sent a few pictures...

Fingers crossed that the tank is fixed! I like the white bucket, really makes the decorations pop!
ReplyDeleteYay! It appears the stock tank is ready! Ken left the water 7.5 inches from the top and that's where it is this morning! So now he's filling it the rest of the way!
DeleteI love your buckets!!! What a great idea! I hope the stock tank is now sealed. I mean really, how do they expect it to hold water for cows and horses?? That's a slick idea for the hot water heater. Something I've never seen before. I do love ingenuity!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy! I know what you mean about the stock tank, it's looking good this morning! 98 degrees today, thinking we'll be getting in! I suggested where to put the tankless heater and Ken made it happen! He is very handy for sure!
ReplyDeleteGreat little patio tables! Good idea!
ReplyDeleteTime to get in that tank!!
As you saw on FB we got in! Last night swimsuit time LOL. Glad you like the tables! :)
