July 4th Arco Idaho...

We left Jackpot NV after a torrential rainstorm..wow. that was something else! I got a warning on my email regarding Yerington..so guess they got it too!..amazing!

Food and phone..

After the storm Jackpot NV

Adam and Seth stayed at the hotel across the street, as the RV park doesn't allow tents and because of the weather it worked well. Picked up the boys in the am, fed them breakfast and off we went...ended our day at City of Rocks National Preserve (even though they treat it as a state park)..paid $12.72 for the night which was ok..no hookups and pit toilets..but didn't matter much as we have our own..The Boys had an awesome time climbing rocks...

If there's rocks they have to be climbed..on top in the middle

Just Mason sized!

The view from our campground..City of Rocks

The next day we headed for Castle Rock State Park..the campgrounds had electric, water and showers, but no rocks nearby..so we let the boys climb for hours and the we headed for the park. The bugs were horrendous!  Seth and Adam took a 3 hour hike and climb..they figured they better come back as Grandma would be ready to call the park rangers to find them...

After the 3 hour hike Adam decided on a quick nap

Going in at Boy Scout Cave..they did about 775 feet of
caving...crawling through alot of it...

They're coming out..

Mason, he didn't go though...

All of them coming out of Beauty Cave...

Looked like a prepper vehicle from Switzerland

The view from our campsite at Arco, Idaho KOA.

After showers in the am, we headed for Craters of the Moon, the kids love that place!  This am they did the Boy Scout Cave and then headed for Beauty Cave, on their bucket list and glad they did them..not for me of course..the boys had to crawl on their tummy and barely made it through..but they did and glad they made it!! ...uhhhhh....

We are at the KOA in Arco Idaho tonight...watched some fireworks and ready for bed...tomorrow we'll be here for another night, just to enjoy and call it vacation...weather is good but sooooo hot...

Pics tomorrow...
