Niagara Falls to Strassburg PA and Amish Country

Got up early and we were both ready to leave by 0600..stopped at Tim Horton's for some coffee and off we went.  It was a nice morning so we stopped by the falls for one last picture!  Had a beautiful drive through some NY back roads and then hit 15 south and continued on.  A quick lunch on the road in Williamsport, PA and on to Lancaster, PA.  It was a beautiful drive all the way.

American Falls 0600...

We found our motel, Ken and I stayed here in 2006.  I was actually looking last night for the one the volunteers and I stayed in, and couldn't think of the name.  This one is ok, a little run down, but the beds are awesome.

We drove around a bit as I really wanted Diane to see some of the farms and such here in the  area.  We stopped at a beer store in town to see if they had anymore of the beers on Jesse's list...at the beer store u have to buy either 12 packs or cases...so he gave us some info.
This used to be the Intercourse Winery..now Mount Hope..
The Rumspringa Brewery on top...but no IPA..

On the way to Dowlington

Love these homes!

We headed down 30 east towards Philadelphia to a brewery called Victory...had some luck there..we also had stopped in Intercourse, PA at the winery, which now has a brewery on the top floor..very nice, but all the beer was cold..and we needed it room temperature so we could get it home.

This was a real bitch to find...but we did!

Lines were out the door for eating..so we didn't..

After visiting Victory we headed back this way and started looking for a place to eat.  Finally after going through the historic district of Strassburg we found a place called Issacs..they were about ready to close but we got to eat.  Had a 1/2 sandwich and salad..came with some great chips too.  Diane had a crab sandwich and chips and she said they were really good!

Tomorrow we plan on going on a buggy ride and then decide what to do. We pick up Adam on Friday.  (He texted today aplogizing for not texting me..said very little free time) ..I've seen the schedule and I believe that.

We ended up with just about a 500 mile day today..was planning on 360 or so..but with going over to the brewery it topped us out..but it was beautiful and easy! Love those kind of days!!
