Our first subway ride and the Empire State Building!

Had a really nice breakfast this am and then headed out on the shuttle to the subway...interesting and a quick way into the city. We left the subway and walked to our hotel. It was really warm and I was sweating by the time we got there and of course, we all know I don't like to sweat! Put the bags away and headed off downtown to buy some tour tickets for the grayline, or so we thought...but here they try to outdo each other competition wise and we ended up buying another tour bus 2 day ride. We got on and got off at the Empire State Building stop...I had already ordered and paid for the tickets online so we were ready to go...had a nice visit at the top on the 86th floor and then headed
to the brewery next door to have lunch...appetizers and crafted beer...then we ended up walking back to the hotel...shades of another trip with the volunteers when Al kept saying ...it's not too far...yes it was! Got back and relaxed a bit and then another walking trip to the local grocery store for some beer...a bit more relaxing when we got back and then visited the pub in the hotel and had our pizza and salad dinner delivered there...after that..I'm done..back in the room looking forward to tomorrow..when we will visit the Statue of Liberty and 911 memorial...

We are at the Hotel at Times Square on 46th St..nice hotel but i think last night definitely trumps this one..even if only for the bed! So we'll see they're supposed to have a big continental breakfast..but his mornings was awesome..waffles, cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage, toast, yogurt..yumm!
