Snow! Tax work, Anniversaries of two of our kids..Reno bound this am!

Monday I finally had to make a run to Raley's.  I had been craving the pizza we had a few weeks ago but I wanted to make it on zucchini crust.  Oh my it turned out delicious.  One thing we find with the Papa Murphy crust is that the next day it seems to swell up. Probably does that in your tummy too LOL.

Waking up to a little snow this am...hope it goes away by Sunday when Bryan and friends are coming!

Gotta love our skies!

I cut up all the stuff and then later in the day we worked together to put it together. Looked so good before it even went in the oven but even better coming out LOL.

Copy cat of Papa Murphy's Alfredo chicken spinach pizza..on zucchini crust..Oh so yummy!
Joe brought this glass for Ken from Tonopah, NV..
Aaron in action...

Tuesday was a day of fixing taxes for Adam. I used the program e-file (the company) to do his which are pretty darn easy.  The problem was that when we filed them on 2/12 the tax program didn't show that he's eligible for an earned income credit in CA.  Not alot, but the governor is giving everyone who files for the earned income credit an extra $600.00 down the road.  So, spent time waiting and talking with "customer service" at the e-file. In the end no help, as the software is correct now, but he'd already gotten his smaller refund. I ended up talking with Franchise Tax in Sacramento who stated I needed to file an amended tax form which will take longer to get a refund. Oh well, e-file was useless as they didn't use the right form, so figured it out for myself. Hopefully! Warning...don't use e-file (the company)

Once that was done about 1600 I headed outside to watch Ken barbecue some chicken thighs for him and a turkey burger for me.  We had the Little Red Campfire going as it was really chilly!

During the day Ken ordered some 1/2 inch rock to be delivered on Wednesday. He has been wanting to add some to the driveway so its coming. Last time we had it delivered it was around $440.00 it's gone up to $530.00. Oh well, what hasn't?!

The rock came around 1100 and Ken's happy now to have a good base on the driveway.

The truck was actually overloaded by a ton and a half..so we got extra :)

Adam called when he was on his way home from his sweetie's place. We had a nice chat. After he got  home he sent these pics of the Yakima in place on his car. Ready for some camping.

He's ready to go!

After lunch decided it was time to make some treats mainly for Ken, but a few for me. Tried a new almond flour chocolate chip (butterscotch for him) cookie. Haven't tried them yet but they look like they will be awesome!

Almond flour, small banana (for sweetness) and chips...so good!
Some with sugar free chocolate chips...

Talked with my Winnemucca doctor, Robbie Grant for the last time today :( She had me do a 3 month lab since some of my tests were high last time. Pretty much got a good report except glucose is at 111 which neither she nor I like.  6 months ago was 89 then 98 3 months ago. Other than that cholesterol is back in check and lowering nicely. Since she doesn't take medicare that was a check in because she's like that :)

Today, a run to Reno for a new rv battery for the motorhome, Total Wine and Walmart.  Company is coming Sunday so need to shop.

Bryan and Cheryl's granddaughters enjoying snow for the first time!

March 4th was our oldest son Bryan and his wife Cheryl's 22nd wedding anniversary. I texted but it came up so fast the card is late!

Our 3 sons 22 years ago...Eric, Bryan and Russell..
they got married at the courthouse where Bryan worked at the time

March 9th was our middle son Eric and his wife Christina's 19th wedding anniversary. Card is late too but I was able to Venmo $$ for lunch anyway. Sure doesn't seem that long since either of the couples got married. Time does fly!

A beautiful Lake Tahoe wedding..

John and Karen invited us over for Happy Hour on their back porch with heaters and a nice propane fireplace. Wasn't snowing when we left but...
Coming home from John and Karen's last night..glad we took the car!!

Another catch up. Motorhome, Adam visits, Aaron gets to play football finally, Grandkids visiting in Georgetown...

Well, once again the week has flown by!

My chalkboard refrigerator/freezer in the motorhome...

Adam texted Tuesday morning as we were heading to Carson City wanting to come spend the night with us. :) We got to Carson and picked up the new tire at Discount Tires. Sure we'll be back there soon for the other 3 we will need.

We decided on an early lunch out. Stopped at Red's 395, they've got the rule that if you're not eating or drinking you need your mask on...ok, we left.  Headed over to Betsy's Big Kitchen and finally they are back to normal.  You wear your mask/shield to your table and then as soon as you sit down it comes off. We had a nice lunch and saw a few of the same servers who wondered where we've been.

Looks so cozy up there! Thanks Grandma for the Christmas $$...

Thanks Eric and Christina for the gift of our new dinnerware...๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š
Thank  you Grandma for the $$ for my birthday! ๐Ÿ˜
How we really feel!

Adam got to our house just a little while after we got home.  Visited with him and later actually sat out back chatting as it was a nice afternoon.

Wednesday morning after breakfast Adam left to head home by way of Bridgeport, CA. Completely the wrong direction to Georgetown. By the end of the day he sent me pictures from Bishop, CA even further out of the way LOL.  He was looking for a hike and guess he found one :) He did make it home safely that evening.

He made me...

Pretty good name for a beer in CA! haha. Eric brought them for Ken and Russell..

And it tasted good too!!
Beautiful area near Bishop, CA.  It appears he got in quite the hike up!
The Buttermilk Boulders..he said prettiest place ever..We love the Bishop area.
Our oldest grandson, Adam! Hard to believe he'll be 22 next month!

Friday found us meeting Joe and his mother in law, Susan at Tailgator's in town for lunch.  Our second time there and the food is just as good as before.  No mask rule there, so even better.  We had an enjoyable lunch and conversation with them.  Sure will miss them when their move to Alaska happens.

Most of the week found us at home working on things here. All I have left to do on the motorhome is the dinette seat covers. Ken's working on a few things on it too. Hoping next week the mornings will warm up and he can check into the water leak. I'm itching to take it somewhere!

Football is finally starting in parts of CA.  That's our grandson, Aaron in the middle.
He's a sophomore playing varsity this year.  #41..when the real games start he'll be #23..

Dau in law Cheryl has her 3 granddaughters visiting for 2 weeks. This is Hazel๐Ÿ’œ
Those eyes! ๐Ÿ’–
Hazel and her older sister Sky...
Sky, Papa Bryan and Hazel.. Love the different expressions, you wouldn't

know they're in the same place..One mad and one happy! Haha....

Enjoying a bonfire at Papa and Grandma's...

This morning (Sunday) found me in the kitchen doing dishes when Ken came in wanting to go on a CanAm ride. Ok!  Grabbed a coat and off we went for a bit.  It was still pretty chilly out there but crisp and clear. I have to say I love having the BLM so close and it was just so pretty out there!

Internet was so slow this afternoon so loading pictures took forever! It's just about Happy Hour time so time to close this catch up down! Have a great evening!

Carson City, Reno, Ken to Antelope, A busy weekend!

Friday our destination was Carson City, NV but first we had to visit Reno and Western Skies RV and see how our tire warranty would work or wouldn't. Wouldn't was the case.

Thursday we went over all the warranties we bought when we purchased "The Mansion".  You know how the salesmen present them all, yes we need them, it's only a few dollars more a month..so we bought. We never did with the Jayco or any others but for some reason we did with this. We made the decision to get rid of them now. Road warranty, well we've got some with insurance but now we've got AAA. Gap insurance, our insurance is for full value of what we paid. I forget the other, but we'll take our chances.

Ken went into the office and cancellation was easy, the loan company will credit our loan, fine with us.

We stopped at Washoe Lake State Park and had our low carb wraps for lunch. Nice view with white caps on the lake from the wind.

We drove to Discount Tire to see about a new trailer tire. It should be in on Tuesday. Probably another 3 in the not too distant future. They're not cheap, but you gotta have good ones.

Once we finished there it was close to 1600 so we headed for the Days Inn to check in. A nice room, first floor just as requested. Took our stuff in and just vegged the rest of the afternoon. I had baked chicken so Ken had baked chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. I had chicken breast and green beans. Tasty dinner. Eventually we called it a night.

I set the alarm for 0330 Saturday am but I was already awake. Started the coffee and woke Ken at 0345.  He was ready to leave at 0500. Ken was headed to Antelope, CA to help our son Russell lay a new floor at their house.  I had running around to do once I got myself going. :)

The finished project minus baseboards. Their little table looks lost LOL. They're having a larger one built for the area.
This was how it looked when the project started.  So much more open and bright now!

Picked up an order at Total Wine in Reno.  I've been too cheap lately to buy my organic wine so decided to go back to it as I know it's better for me than US wines. No added sugars and additives. :)

Since I was there in Reno and it was payday ๐Ÿ˜‰ I decided to visit Ross. They still aren't letting you try on clothes so didn't even look.  I'll be wearing rags at this rate! I did get some things for the motorhome and a couple of things for the house, one being a new bedspread for one of the guest rooms.

The floors after Russell, Lori and Allissa got them pulled up.
Ken got to see our middle son, Eric while he was down there too! :)

Headed over to TJ Maxx home goods at the other end of the complex, pretty much walked in and out. Too many people so the aisles were too crowded to enjoy. Maybe on a weekday.

Headed over to Carson City where I had placed an order for two pizzas at Papa Murphy's.  Not something we do often, but Ken had seen an advertisement for chicken spinach garlic pizza that looked yummy. I ordered one for Sunday night and a delite one to take to Karen's later that evening.

Headed home and it was late afternoon by the time I got there. WOW how the days fly. I was heading to Karen's about 1730 with a freshly baked pizza. We sat out on her deck with the propane fireplace going just chatting and enjoying Happy Hour. I got home around 2030.

My "real" pizza for a change. I'm going to make this one with zucchini crust! So yummy!

Russell and Lori took Ken out to dinner at Old Town Pizza and treated him to some IPA's ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ•

I got this cute picture at 2330 from Lori but didn't see it until the next morning.

I love this picture! Look Patsy, Ken's smiling!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ken texted about 0945 Sunday morning, they were just getting up and around ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ฑ. He and Russell finished the last 5 pieces of flooring and then he headed home. The flooring looks awesome. Russell will get the baseboards done next weekend, that will really complete the look and then on to the kitchen!

Once he got home we just enjoyed the evening and then pizza again!

Today (Monday) was a day of getting tax info together and getting it sent off via computer to our CPA in Winnemucca. I always amaze myself when I'm able to attach stuff and figure out how it goes. They certainly make the process easy! :) Got some bills paid and now getting this blog caught up.  Leftover cabbage lasagna and chicken for dinner so how much easier can that be?!

Karen's coming over in a bit so we three will have Happy Hour together! Enjoy your evening!
