Sunday, July 13th was our youngest son Russell's 47th birthday. He was having a party at THE ONE SPOT a bar and tap room in Rocklin, CA about 4 hours away from our house. He didn't know we were coming as the last time I saw him I told him I wasn't sure about me, but that it really wasn't his dad's thing.
We left our house about 0630 and got there about 1020. we saw him in the parking lot just putting something in his car. He looked at us, smiled and then after a few seconds he realized it was us! 💗 Hugs all around and then into the venue.
Quite the turnout of 1020 in the morning and it continued until about 1400. Eric, Chris and Seth showed up and Diane and Jesse too.
I actually met people that I've seen and friended on FB through Russell's Sacramento Beer Enthusiasts group. Loved meeting them all in person.

We left about 1400 and headed for Russell's house and visited with our grandson Aaron for a few hours. We ordered pizzas and then Russell and Lori picked up pizzas too!

Around 1700 or so they got home and then Mike and Mel, Terrance and Diane and Jesse came over.We still had more than enough pizza left over that we brought some home and Ken sent some with Jesse the next morning.
We woke up Monday morning, had coffee with the kids and then we headed home about 1000. Perfect timing to have linner at Sharkey's in Gardnerville.
We've been enjoying the stock tank in the afternoons as it's been so hot, it heats up nicely.
I'm writing this from the motel in Dixon, CA as I will meet my sister, Linda and her family tomorrow for the annual Dillon Beach weekend she always organizes. 💖 Quite the itinerary my nephew Dusty, has planned. We'll head home on Monday.
Gotta say the California traffic sucks especially in the Sacramento area. Bumper to bumper, especially going eastbound today. The traffic on the freeway here is stopped. Thank goodness I'm in the motel!
I'll visit my dad and mom at the National Cemetery before heading toward the coast tomorrow.
Aaron and Kenna spent 10 days or so in Destin, FL visiting with her family. Some pictures of the cute couple below.
